My husband and I went here for a date night and had a really enjoyable time. There is lots of seating and we sat towards the back of the pub as it was a little quieter. We brought dinner and each ordered a drink. My husband got a peanut butter stout and I got an orange citrus cider, both very delicious. We also brought a card game to play after eating which was fun too. Highly recommend for a fun little date night local to Pella!

This is literally one of the best bars I have ever been to in America. They have like 50 craft beers on draft most of which are local to Iowa or the Midwest, specifically a GREAT IPA selection and all delicious. I live in Des Moines and struggle to find a bar like this!! Every experience in the peanut pub is a core memory for me I seriously love this place so much. And they have trivia

This is one of our favorite places in Pella!! Absolutely perfect location near the Amsterdam hotel, downtown, restaurants, shopping, etc.. We have been here on Friday nights and game days and have loved it every time we come in. Make sure you check out their bloody Mary menu! Abby (name twin) was THE BEST!! Central grad – and was very helpful and had a lot of useful information for us. There are lots of different areas for seating- even outdoors. Plenty of TVs if you are interested in watching sports. Endless amount of peanuts that you just push the shells onto the floor. I love that vibe! So many beers to choose from! Highly recommend!

Get your “Tulip” beer here (see photo)—made from a red variety. It does not taste floral. The flavor reminded me of gold ale. Indoor & outdoor seating. It was quieter outside. Large beer selection, including cider. They also serve soda. Quick service, but no food besides peanuts. Their TVs were on ESPN/2. When asked if we could watch our home baseball team, we were out of luck because they have limited channels. They would’ve accommodated otherwise. Plenty of items on the walls and ceilings to get your attention. Parts are from the 1980s, like a boombox and working arcade games: Burgertime, Galaga, & Ms. Pacman. The pay phone was inactive but a good photo opp. Nice mural out back (see photo)

Love The Cellar! Have not been there since our son left Central. Best Bloody Mary, and they have a great variety of beers on tap. They can mix a drink with the best of them, too. Great stop, and highly recommend!

Very cool joint… I stumbled upon it on bingo night, though, so just as I got my Gezellig Macadamia Nut Stout, the “entertainment director” began hollering his head off. Which is appropriate if you’re playing bingo there, as there is some ambient noise to overcome, a friendly and cozy hum of camaraderie. Wish I’d gotten my bartender’s name. I only had one brew, but he was friendly, helpful and funny. And it was too cold to enjoy the back beer garden. lots of fun beer posters, and some old-school arcade games Galaga and that bartender “mug-slinging” game. But would definitely return!

Very cool spot to stop for a cold beverage. I am not a beer fan…..sorry to day. BUT, there are SO many choices, even I was able to find something I really enjoyed! You can sample some to find what you may like. I ended up with ‘I don’t feel tarty’……a fruity, sour……very tasty. Staff was friendly. Fun atmosphere. Great patio/beer garden in the back.
