An enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere with tasteful live music. Paper table clothes, with pencils to draw with. They serve my favorite local Scotch Ale, so that is a plus up.

The Cream of Mushroom soup was very good, maybe with with touch of too much salt. The Raspberry Pork was ample in portion, moderately tender, and not overpowered be the Raspberry.l

There was no chicken or vegetarian option/selection available on the menu – minus one star.

One of our local favorites. Never disappoints. The chef is top shelf. Presentation and flavor are on point. The menu is now on iPads and you can see pictures of each item.

Thru the years The Cellar has been a fine dining experience. Unfortunately, the management has changed several times in recent years. I was saddened to write this review and give such an icon a three star review. The menu is very limited, chicken was not on the menu, the only vegetarian dish was a pasta dish that I had to request the sausage be removed. The appetizers were very limited.

Ok, so I try real hard but seriously paper table cloths, what happened to a nice dinner out. Mushroom soup served in an upcycled bourbon bottle, cute idea if the cup wasn’t four inches tall. That said the mushroom soup was delicious. The hostess was fun and worked hard to make the experience positive.

All in all we enjoyed the guitar player more than the meal.

Can’t beat this place. The service is excellent and the food is even better. This Salmon Caesar salad was the best Caesar I’ve ever had.

Finest dining experience you can get in Idaho Falls. The same food and service provided here would cost much more in a larger city.

The food was fabulous! The cream of mushroom soup was rich and creamy; the best I’ve ever had. The duck was excellent, and the Chocolate Mexican Ice Cream was decadent with just the right touch of spice. We celebrated our anniversary here and it was a romantic, quiet setting. Our table was right next to the fireplace. The staff was very attentive. It was just an overall wonderful experience. This is a great restaurant for any special event.

I was very disappointed with my last visit to the Cellar. We had some friends providing entertainment which is why we came. We ordered a few items that had at one time been our favorite. The Hummus platter was always very enjoyable to us, however you reduced the portion size and quality of this dish greatly and still charge the same exorbitant price! We had brought some friends along who had never come, hoping to show them a good time, but the service was poor. We had reservations and were led out to the deck where we could be seated, then the hostess got distracted and did not direct us to a table, so we were forced to stand awkwardly waiting for an attendant to come back. The hostess passed us twice without noticing her mistake, and only found us a table when we finally asked her for help. Then my wife and our guest both ordered the house salad as an entree, yet one of the dishes came out as a “side” portion. I ordered the pork tenderloin and was told there was a special for the evening with a maple glaze, I tried it and instead of getting my “medium” tender pork tenderloin, I received pork jerky, that was dry and tasteless with a overcooked and broken maple sauce. Such poor food and service for the hype and prices you push. I expect gourmet and get second rate. We were embarrassed for our friends experience and for the new owner who obviously is trying to financially recover from that past operator while reducing food quality and service to achieve it. Please take this feedback and improve so that our next visit will not be our last.

The Cellar is the best restaurant in Idaho Falls. Service is always friendly and knowledgeable, the food is creative and delicious, and the weekend and holiday specials are always an adventure in fine dining.

Chef Hewett was trained in the best culinary school in the state, knows his ingredients from all angles, and his presentations are always beautiful as well as delicious.

He will almost always show up at your table during dinner to make sure that your food is to your liking and to answer any questions you may have. He and his staff take great pride in this business and seem to truly care that you are well served and that your time in The Cellar is above your expectations.

I was so happy to find this gem of a place in ID. Traveling from California, I am never sure what I am going to get from a restaurant. This place was pitch perfect! From the ambiance to their food selection to the service we received, I was pleased with my experience. I tried the pan roasted seafood dish, and it was delicious. Then came the desserts! The butter ice cream sounded odd but tasted heavenly! The carrot cake was amazing and creme brulee was delicious! I can on and on but everyone at our table of 5 enjoyed their food. We left with a smile on our face that can only come from a blissful food coma. Great place!
