This is a great spot for craft cocktails! We came here before dinner elsewhere, and the service was quick and kind. I had the Fig in a Blanket, which was unique and delicious, along with an espresso martini and a raspberry martini. Everything was fabulous! While we didn’t eat here, the food smelled divine. It does get busy, but we arrived near opening and had no trouble getting a seat at the bar. Looking forward to returning next time we’re in town!

I had found this restaurant while looking for a good place to eat in Corning. Love the small plate options so you can try several different things. Gwen was wonderful, and they have a great bourbon selection! She started me off with Some More, an old fashioned served with a toasted marshmallow and a graham cracker/chocolate combination on part of the rim. Delicious! From there I went to the Lamb Lollipops and the Marcona Almonds & Coriander. The lamb was succulent and tasty, and the combination of the coriander toasted with the almonds was a nice surprise. I wouldn’t have thought about doing that, but they worked well together. Trying to stay healthy, I went with the House Salad with the Cayuga Bleu Cheese, and it was perfect. A great salad, it’s nice to be able to eat healthy and still have something that tastes this good! Then for dessert I did a small spoonful of the Salted Caramel gelato, just the right size for a bite of something sweet without going overboard, and so smooth and delightful. I’ll definitely be going back if I’m in town again!

Great place on Market Street! Lots of gluten-free options! They are very knowledgeable about cross-contact. The food is creative and delicious.

Refined feel, thoughtfully composed dishes. Lamb lollipop chop was topped by a dollop of goat cheese and mint leaf and crisped morsel. Could’ve been a bit rarer though to preserve original flavor. Crispy shrimp milk bun (柳叶包) with frisée made a dynamically textured bite. The creamy mayo yolky sauce but with a kick of acidic note was exquisite. House salad with roasted pepita, candied walnut, microgreens incl basil, endive, frisée, and sweet ginger chili dressing was refreshing.

We recently dined at this restaurant and were blown away by the exceptional service, top-notch ingredients, and plentiful plates that exceeded our expectations. Although the prices were on the higher side, the quality and attention to detail made every penny worth it. Our waitress was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, making us feel like we were part of a special experience. The care that went into every aspect of our meal was evident, and we left feeling delighted and impressed. If you’re looking for a truly memorable dining experience and are willing to splurge, the cellar is definitely worth a visit.

Our Friday evening at The Cellar was culinary perfection. Delicious drinks, tasty appetizers, unique entrees and decadent desserts. Our server was attentive throughout the night and timed the arrival of our courses perfectly. Great atmosphere and a nice place to go if you want to avoid the “noise” of other Market Street establishments. So nice to be able to converse without having to yell to be heard. Very highly recommended.

We were really pleasantly surprised at just how nice our experience at The Cellar was. As someone with a gluten sensitivity I was thrilled to see that their chicken and waffles is gluten free. The prices are commensurate with the quality here, and I was glad to see that our entrees were full plates, not a piece of protein garnished with a few specks of vegetable and starch. This was a great way to start our weekend in Corning

Fine dining at its best in a small town in NY. The ambience was great. The waiter very knowledgeable. Wonderful food, fresh and rightly cooked to perfection. The dessert menu they have is outstanding. Our group got different desserts and all said it was wonderful. Definitely recommend for someone trying good food in the area. The pasta I ordered could have been a little better though.

Walked in without a reservation, and got lucky to get a table. First time here (not Corning residents!) but would definitely go again. Had the Hummus appetizer to start (they make it themselves) – so rich and creamy, topped with diced cucumbers and green cherry tomato halves.
For an entree I had the Chicken & Waffles. Sweet, spicy, and perfectly spiced and wonderfully paired witha a sweet-potatoe/ kale salad. The whole plate left a great taste in my mouth afterwards!!
Hoping we can go back one of these days!!
