Finally got to Eat in The Cave!! The customer service was A1!!! The whole plate was full of flavor! I loved the Arroz con Gandules & Mac & cheese. The plate looks small but they are heavy duty!! You cant even see the rice under the fish. The vegan empanada was really good & flavorful. Maduros . I dont eat meat but I do eat seafood sometimes & the whiting was . Recommend 10/10. -Lily

I found this place a few months ago and have been getting it like once a week since because of how good the food is, They definitely got the best wings and empanadas in the game. In my order today they threw in a side of Mac and cheese on the house, there service there is impeccable my only complaint is how often the food truck is not there since it’s so good.

Hands down the best food we’ve ever had! We had been seeing their food on Instagram and couldn’t wait to try it—and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Every bite was incredible, from the food itself to the perfectly crafted sauces. On top of that, the owners and staff are truly wonderful people. Their son, who was helping out, was so polite, kind, and patient—just a reflection of the amazing family behind this business. This past Saturday I reached out to The Cave Kitchen in regards to placing a larger order for Super Bowl Sunday. Ms. Zina got back to me in a timely manner (despite my order being last minute) and provided me with a quote for a tray of 25 empanadas.
I was able to get a tray of half jerk chicken empanadas and half oxtail empanadas and they were a hit at my friend’s Super Bowl Party! Not to mention, upon pickup, the young man who helped me with my order was so nice! I was given 2 empanadas for myself, a couple of small containers of mac & cheese and fried rice AND he assisted me with loading it all in my vehicle.
I supported The Cave years ago when their truck was in Plainfield and I worked in the area, but glad to have revisited them now in Dunellen and will be back again! Still great people and great food there

The food and the hospitality from these people are a 10/10. My father and I first tried the garlic fried chicken bites at a Mets game and I knew I had to bring the rest of my family to try it. We recently visited the food truck and the rice had so much flavor, the garlic chicken bites are so unique, and the jerk empanada was absolutely delicious. Anytime they are in my area, I make it my business to go and buy food. Every time we go they remember us and treated us very warmly as they do with other customers. Being Afro-Latino, I will absolutely continue to support this business!

Wow what an amazing find of a spot! My friend told me the story behind Cave Kitchen and it truly sounds like the most wholesome, deserving business. Not only that but the amazing quality, taste, portion and price of the food is unbeatable. Not to mention the service! So attentive, friendly and accommodating. 10/10 experience no doubt, can’t wait to return!! We ordered jerk chicken empanadas with the sauce .. FIRE. The sticks and stones was also EPIC. Highly recommend trying anything on the menu as it’s bound to be delicious!

This place is sooo amazing!!!! I’ve been a few time and they always exceed my expectations!!!! For this to be a food truck, I’m always met with restaurant quality service. From the moment you walk up to the truck you are greeted by the most pleasant workers that make the ordering process seamless. The food always comes out so fresh and flavorful.
