I visited this The Catch location for the third or fourth time today for lunch.. I’ve grown to really like this place when I’m craving fried seafood goodness..
Today, I opted for the 3-piece shrimp and 1-piece catfish combo, with the corn and potatoes side dish in place of fries.. The combo included two small hush puppies..
The shrimp, fish, and hush puppies were delivered fresh from the fryer, hot, perfectly done, and tasted great.. I did sample the tartar sauce with my fish and it had a great flavor, too..
But let me tell you about the corn and potatoes!! I’m not sure why, but today, they were basically divine.. Two small, red potatoes, perfectly cooked, set in a bowl with a half cob of corn, wonderfully buttered and lightly seasoned (assuming a cajun or creole seasoning)..
I cut the potatoes into quarters, rolled them around in the liquid gold at the bottom of the bowl, sprinkled them with salt, pepper, and Tony Cachere’s seasoning at the table, and delighted at just how savory they were.. I enjoyed the corn the same way after I finished the potatoes..
For me, great execution of simple things is what makes or breaks a restaurant.. The Catch hit a grand slam for me on these few menu items today, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit!!

Good food & cool place! Terrible service. All the employees looked unhappy and the person asked us if we wanted our pickles as app or meal. We said app & it still came out with meal. We asked for two drinks and she only gave us one had to remind her a few times of the second drink!

Absolutely wonderful place! It’s a one stop shop for dinner and a few drinks. I love that there is a pizza place in the other half of the building. My wife doesn’t like seafood and I don’t like pizza, so it works perfect for us! I ordered the catfish and shrimp plate with onion rings and my wife ordered a calzone from the pizza side. Everything was cooked to perfection! We will definitely be stopping next time we are in the area.

On a Tuesday, wasn’t too busy around lunch time! Didn’t have to wait in line. Clean place nice environment food was out quick and hot. Food was flavorful and filling. Staff was welcoming and friendly. We were glad we ordered an appetizer and a side tho. Too many fries not enough fish. But overall delicious would go back and 10/10 recommend

Got the popcorn shrimp you don’t get very much for the price! Then on the other item the so called onion rings tasted like onion trash none of them were crispy they are super small. They always get my order wrong or serve me old tasting food. Nothing but bad experiences here.

The Catch completely stands for its name. I was floored when they asked if I wanted my catfish grilled or blackened instead of just fried as options. I asked for grilled and the fish came out so tender and flavorful.
I’ve been to some nice 5* ‘ places that when you ask them to grill it …their fish, salmon or whatever you order it comes out dry ‘ish’ like jerky and not tasty or too overly salted.
Give this place a try! I do not think you will leave disappointed. Plus, guess what? It’s coming up on crawfish season etc! Come in and leave HAPPY
And if you’re looking for HAPPY they have another room for their bar called the ‘Admirals Room’ which offer HAPPY HOUR 3 to 6p everyday $2 beer and $4 wines. For lunch if your hungry they have M-F full small Pizza and a drink $8 and $12 for a salad, pizza and drink
They also have great people at your service in the bar as well as 2 big screen TVs

We have been here a few times. My husband enjoys the restaurant and he loves fried catfish. I am not a deep fried food person, so I didn’t care. I tried the Gumbo before. It didn’t leave me wanting to order that again. If I have made my review then, it would have been probably just 3 because my husband loves it and I don’t. He wanted to eat there today and today’s visit have improved my rating for you. My husband ordered the Fried Basket of Catchfish (served with catch fries and hush puppies)($8.99) and I ordered the Boiled Favorite of 1/2 lb Boiled Shrimp (served with corn and potatoes)($11.99). We both enjoyed the food today. The staff was friendly. The service was good. Nice location on Depot. Restaurant is clean. Will come again and try another Boiled Favorite!

Went in to order, ordered Togo and got the Alaskan Pollock, coleslaw, and red beans and rice. They didnt give me my red beans and rice, and I ordered the Pollock blackened. It was not made that way sadly. The coleslaw tasted fine. Hush puppies were good. Just wasn’t a good experience. First time experience and i can’t say i would recommend this place.

Walk in and the inside was spacious and clean. I went up to order and was helped by a nice young lady. To start I ordered a cup of étouffée. This hit the spot on a cold day and had excellent flavor and spiciness. Next was a fish basket with hush puppies and fries. This came with tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. Everything was delicious, I especially enjoyed the hush puppies. I took my time enjoying the food and decided to get banana pudding to end the meal. All the food here made my belly happy and did not disappoint.
