Showed up expecting a restaurant and got a dingy hole in the wall bar. The hostess/ waitress was nice. She got my friend’s order wrong.
A quick quip overheard from the kitchen staff really set the mood for the place and time of day.
“You good?”
“Naw, I ain’t good.”
They certainly take care of each other.
When a family of six walked in they turned off the music they had in the kitchen, which seemed appropriate considering what they were listening to.
Eventually the family left, which was nice because they were sitting next to my friends and I and I really didn’t want to deal with that. While the waitress was slightly upset at the kitchen and they were audibly confused, it was probably for the best for everyone.
1/3 orders were wrong
2/3 orders were burnt
And finally one order was on point with the kitchen almost warning us about it.
If you’re hungover and hate seeing kids in the morning, 10/10 would eat again.

Ordered for pick up two chesse burgers and a chili burger. All were cold even though they had literally just come out of the kitchen when i picked it up and it takes 2 mins to get back to my place. We asked no onion and extra pickles on one of the cheese burgers and they still put the onions and there were no extra pickles. On the other, no pickles at all and just mayo for sauce even though i said letchup and mustard. Absolutely no salt on the fries. When we called to tell them, they treated us rudely and didnt even offer anything as a solution. This is absolutely absurd for 63 dollars.

It’s a bar with a small area to dine. The place is kind of like a bar you’d go to for dart tournaments. Maybe an after work bar. I like the food but it isn’t very reasonably priced. 17.00 for a burger and fries. Tater tots are good. The service is normal. It’s okay. I don’t hate it.

This place is such a nifty lil spot. Had a hard craving for chicken fried steak. So we quickly googled who would have chicken fried steak close to our home and this place popped up. We went in on a Sunday morning sat at the bar and we were quickly served some morning cocktails and a hot breakfast pretty quick. We were definitely not disappointed in our breakfast and the drinks were very delightful. We have definitely already been back.

My daughter took me to the Winter of Wizards concert at the Columbia Theater, we went to the Carriage, for dinner and drinks, before the concert . The barmaid lady was so busy, it was a Saturday night, Dec. 19, 2017 she was so sweet and nice to us, and made the best drinks, with all the fresh fruit garnishments one expects to get in a cocktail, not leaving anything out, that many other, Bar and grills charge for but leave out. The fish and chips were like cheap frozen the kind from a grocery discount store. The 4 star rating is for the wonderful barmaid. Wish I knew her name. She by far is at the top of my list. I appreciate her great service she gives.

It was a great experience, 10/10 would recommend anyone coming though Longview to stop here and try the carriage experience. So let me tell you about mine. It starts with a warm welcome, then you’re almost suffocated by the aroma of a nursing home. When you sit down you wait for the one available waitress and order your drinks. In addition you wait 10 minutes for that one waitress to come take your order. Then you wait another 10 for the waitress to come take your order. And finally you wait another 50 minutes to get the wrong order of food. In conclusion, the carriage is a wondrous place to spend the fist 2 hours of your morning, being suffocated by the smell of a nursing home, and surrounded by great music and horrid tasting food.

Went for the food. I got some mozzarella sticks and a ham and cheese sandwich.
The mozzarella sticks were really good and a good value. The sandwich was a waste of money though, they must have used way too much salted butter because it plus the deli ham and the cheese made it taste like eating a salt shaker, and it was very basic for the price.
Service was alright. The guy didnt get a drink my friend asked for but it was fine.

The place was extremely welcoming. That, in my eyes, is its biggest selling point. The lack of attention to the customer became a problem for me. I could wait for fifteen minutes to get a bill.

I had drinks and food. A friendly place. Smooth and relaxing atmosphere. Faye is the owner and tends the bar. One of the nicest women I have ever known working behind the bar. Very helpful. Good buisiness.
