The food was very delicious. We were all very happy with the quality of the meal and good drinks too. We were a little pit off by how long we waited for our table without any real instruction on how long we would have to wait. I made a reservation for 6:30 and we arrived at 6:20 thinking it would be better to arrive a bit early. We checked in at the door, but ended up waiting about 30 minutes before being seated. Other than that, it would have been a 5 star experience.

I love downtown Troy at night. Everything is lit up with lights and it really is beautiful. The Caroline offers outdoor dining so you can enjoy them. The restaurant itself is quaint. The food is good but expensive. My steak was a little tough and potato was.small. They have fancy drinks. My son in law got a pineapple upside down martini. He said it was really good..$13. Service is excellent. They do take reservations. It’s not a ‘hey let’s stop at the Caroline and eat’. It’s more of a ‘plan, save, impress, celebrate, or Im sorry restaurant.

My husband and I went here for dinner this evening. We walked in and said we needed a table for 2, a host went off and someone I’m assuming was a manager came back and proceeded to ask if my husbands service dog, “Was a service dog?” We both responded yes. Then she proceeded to tell us, that the dog better behave!! As she leads us to a table away from other diners in a corner, she then says she wants the dog up against the wall. Well i was going to sit against the wall, then Kelly would sit beside me while Hulda would lay comfortably under the table and nap. As we sat there, I observed other tables who were seated after us being served. It was like our server only checked on us as an after thought. Then when we got ready to leave, Kelly stood up, and so did the dog. In which the dog did a shake. One of the hosts was getting ready to seat a couple then the other hostess, made it a big deal that they stop everything because we were leaving with the dog. This discrimination shouldn’t happen and is so rude. By the way, my husband is blind, maybe you should think about how you would feel if you were in his shoes. This definitely isn’t good customer service!!

We came to celebrate my Mother’s Birthday. Food was amazing. Service NOT so much. Service was the worst I’ve ever had there. Horrific actually. She was not very personable, unpleasant, not attentive, and acted as if we were more of bother. Over all personality changed the environment of what we were hoping to be an amazing dinner.

Her son got her a gift certificate for Caroline’s for her birthday. What a thoughtful lad. Although the restaurant was a few miles from home, it was definitely worth the drive. Our server, Kaitlyn, was fantastic. Her wine and appetizer suggestions were spot on. The French onion soup was the best we’ve had since visiting Paris. Since it was a birthday celebration the Caroline’s steak was what the birthday girl wanted while I opted for the Walleye on a bed of risotto. It was delicious! The best I’ve had since I caught some on Lake Erie so many years ago. We were never rushed, but Kaitlyn watched over us and even brought out a slice of chocolate cake with birthday candles. It was a glorious evening.
