The vegetable egg white omelet was good but lacking in flavor, add your own salt and pepper to improve. The avocado toast was only okay, I think the bread isn’t ideal for this, a brioche would taste better with micro greens on top. Nice atmosphere for a diner. Good staff, friendly and fast.

Wonderful little diner located in the heart of Pompton. I try and come here for breakfast most weekends with my son. The staff are kind, the food is good and priced well. And there is something very homey about the atmosphere. It’s a great place to pick up lunch or breakfest, but its a local favorite so it can fill up fast.

The food was way overpriced for what was actually served. The breakfast sausage looked like a hot dog sausage. It was huge and raw looking inside. The pancakes tasted like they used tap water. No flavor. The cappuccino tasted horrible.flavor was of a strong coffee. Horrible experience. Food quality was horrible. The cashier I believe was the owner horrible customer service extremely rude. Will definitely not be returning.

Let me start by saying not all people are treated equally at this establishment. My experience was very unlike other reviewers. We found our waitress to be a bit abrasive and the lady owner threw my girlfriend’s card back at her at the register after she paid the bill. She had to tell her that it would be proper to hand her card back to her and not throw it. She took the time to stop and talk to other patrons but not us (never asked us how was our meal). As for the meal, the corned beef hash was good but the pancakes were gummy and they tried to give me a couple of small ends of the bread for my French toast. Overall, I won’t return and wouldn’t recommend anyone on my behalf!

Always a great time! The owners and staff are always friendly and welcoming! The food is excellent! The place is always clean! Very comfortable atmosphere! Prices are affordable! The couscous bowl is my favorite…..(pictures included)! Love the chocolate chip pancakes, omelets, and the avocado toast! Best coffee in town! My husband and I go here 2-3 times a month!

I really love this place. The Lady owner is such a good person. She’s extremely efficient, almost as if she was born for hospitality. I really can’t express in words how graceful and great she is at her job. And on top of the superb hospitality the food is also very good… this is easily a 10 star establishment. To be able to open in Pompton and remain successful speaks volumes… JOB WELL DONE CARDINAL!!! I always tip them super high amounts and she’s always shocked that my tip is usually double or triple my bill but in all honesty I really feel they deserve it… I love this place ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

July 17 – I’ve been back a dozen times since my first visit and this place is spot on in every respect. Such a great variety of menu items with great daily specials. Consistent food quality, taste and service has made this my regular place.

Great local cafe/diner for breakfast and lunch. Quick service and clean and the food is delicious. Stays pretty busy but if you time it right you won’t have a problem getting a table. Don’t forget take out is always an option too.
