Absolutely disgusting!! The flounder is extremely thin cut and so over cooked to where it’s just breading with almost no meat at all. The little bit of taste u get from the fries is sadly just freezer burn with hints of pepper. The steak like everything else is over cooked and bland.. ordered a medium rare and got a very well done that was cooked on something that I assume wasn’t properly cleaned due to the fish taste. Even the ranch they serve for an extra fee is store brand bottle ranch as well as there horrific attempt at tarter sauce. Also got a spaghetti plate for my son and we opened up a can of Great Value macaroni and beef and split it instead of $67 dollar worth pure BS we received from here!! I should have known better than to continue ordering when the woman taking phone orders didn’t know if they served surf and turf or what it even was for that matter.

Good food. Very disappointed in the amount of shrimp I got. Until they decide to give bigger portions for the price, I will not be back. This was the second time I received a small portion of shrimp. I guess I’ll keep going to Hickory and get more seafood at a cheaper price. It was good, just disappointed in the amount. The salt and pepper flounder was delicious.

We love Captain’s Cap and the fact that the Salad Bar is now open is the icing on the cake! The staff is super friendly and always makes you feel like family. The food is amazing and always fresh. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Had the everyday special..glad to see a little salad bar again.Not much but just enough to make a tasty salad! Had the everyday special and it was ok.Shrimp was good and deviled crab was ok..the flounder had an off taste for some reason that couldn’t even be covered up with tartar sauce and I couldn’t finish it…but over all a decent meal..

The filet of flounder is fantastic. My husband order the flounder senior plate and I ordered the spaghetti plate. We both have food left over for lunch tomorrow. The servers are very friendly and they make sure you have anything you need. Prices are good, plus you get the salad bar for free with any meal. What other seafood restaurants can you go to to get fish or pasta plates.

Ordered a to go order over the phone, was not given a total to expect and when we arrived it seemed lower than it should have been but when the girl read our order back it was correct so I didnt question it. We get our food and the half gallon of tea that came with our family meal was missing but when we asked about it her reply was “oh, i didnt know you wanted it.” We told her not to worry about it because it seemed like she had no intention of getting it anyways and we left. When we got home and went to unbag the food we discovered that the “family meal” that was supposed to be half orders of the 2lbs of shrimp and 16 chicken strips was more like 1/4 orders as we didnt have anywhere close to a pound of shrimp and only got 4 chicken tenders. We made it work but once we tasted the food we wished we had just gone somewhere else. The tenders were virtually tasteless, the hushpuppies are 10 times better at places like cookout, the coleslaw tasted like pure mayo and none of the food had any salt. This used to be my family’s favorite restaurant but it was so disappointing that we probably wont be going back any time soon.

Food was well cooked. Side salad was mediocre. No salad bar. Service was great. Around 6pm on Tuesday, several open tables but decent crowd for Tuesday. Very clean. “Market price” on scallops was lower than we expected, but they were fabulously broiled, with excellent quantity and of good size. This was our first visit, but will definitely return.

The Online menu needs to be updated. Items no longer on menu. Food is a little overpriced for quality. Pushy service. We were trying to get the family situated and we were constantly being asked about drinks before we could settle in. We tried to split the bill after to take care of gratuity and the lady didn’t know how to split the bill. The baked potatoes were not hot enough to melt the cheese from the salad bar. Service was mediocre . The photo spread and article about the great food and how awesome a restaurant it, definitely does not match the quality of its superior article posted.
