Dining at The Capital Grille was an unforgettable experience for my husband and me. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and thanks to our reservation, we were seated immediately. Our table was decorated to celebrate the occasion, which was such a thoughtful touch. We also discovered it was Sweethearts Day—something we didn’t know as visitors from New York—adding to the special atmosphere.

Best steakhouse within an hour. Great service and great food here. The atmosphere is delightful. They have a handful of fantastic mixed drinks a huge array of wines. Our fillet was cooked perfectly blackened on the outside red on the inside.

My husband and I hadn’t had a date night since we got married 5 months ago, and it’s kind of rare for us as it is. Last night was one of the best! Our server, Sara, was awesome! She truly made our night with her witty humor, amazing service and fun personality! I was a server for 10+ years so I know how much that means to customers and she NAILED it, effortlessly.
Major kudos to the rest of the wait staff staying so on top of our water, clearing plates, etc. They are a well oiled machine as well!
And MAJOR props to the kitchen because our food was literally perfect, some of the best steaks we have ever had!
We are normally in and out kind of diners, and we easily enjoyed the 2 hours we were there- we NEVER sit and just enjoy a dinner out like that but we did it without even realizing it because we had such a good time 🙂

Our waitress, Armani/Imani , was unfortunately not very attentive. After finishing my lemonade, I waited about 30 minutes for a refill, while she walked by our table multiple times. It was frustrating to have to signal her for attention.
Regarding the food, I ordered two lobster tails, recommended by Armani/Imani for being juicy and flavorful. Unfortunately, what I received was a standard boiled lobster that lacked seasoning. The lobster mac and cheese was another disappointment; the first serving was crunchy and dry. After I requested a replacement, she brought out a new dish that was overly runny, as if it had been hurriedly prepared. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, Armani seemed to argue about her perspective rather than addressing my concerns, which came off as a bit sassy.
On a positive note, my date enjoyed her chicken risotto and was very satisfied with her meal. However, the lack of engagement from the server and the overall dining experience affected my impression of the evening.

Met with some coworkers for a business dinner. The location is beautiful and warm, with round booths perfect for a casual business gathering.
Service was amazing as always, and we never had to ask for anything.
We tried a few appetizers: calamari, bacon, truffle fries and salads. Everything was delicious, the calamari was especially perfectly light and crispy with cherry peppers. Chef’s kiss!
All our steaks and sides were cooked perfectly, though we felt the steaks could have been seasoned more. We had filets and a strip. Sides were all delicious: mashed, truffle fries, creamed spinach, and Brussels sprouts.

Very fancy with the service and flavoring of a Michelin star restaurant is how I’d sum it up. They have a large menu of food and drink options. It was easy finding dishes we’d enjoy and a wide variety of cuts of steak. Free bread upon sitting down and it was impressive. Most free bread at restaurants are bland and generic. The basket had 4 different types.
Food was top notch. I ordered the steak and lobster. My wife had the lamb chops. We also had side orders of truffle fries and creamed corn with bacon. The food was cooked to perfection with excellent flavoring. The corn lacked some flavor depth, but that would be my only complaint.
Service was fantastic! Our waitress was consistently checking with us and quick to clear off the table. She made great recommendations and was very informative.
Overall, it was a great dinner that neither of us expected as we didn’t even plan for dinner. It’s a great restaurant for a date night and I would make reservations if going on a weekend. It is expensive, but the food is worth the price.

We’ve been to Capital Grille in Lyndhurst several times and each time is spectacular. This last time was no exception. We sat in the lounge and had Nick and another young lady as our servers. They were tag teaming the bar area but I do not recall her name, I apologize. She was wonderful as well. We started off with oysters for my husband and a wedge salad chopped for me. The bacon on the wedge is some the best I’ve ever had. We both wanted filets so my husband got the chefs recommendation and I chose a filet oscar style. The steaks were phenomenal and cook to perfection! The oscar style was the perfect pairing. We shared a side of asparagus with the lemon mosto. Chefs kiss! For starter drinks, we did a dirty goose for me and my husband enjoyed the blackberry sidecar. With dinner, I had a glass of Prosecco and he had the Doli signature cocktail. From entrance to exit, our experience was remarkable. They did an amazing job on pacing and allowing us to enjoy our experience. Thank you, once again!

We had dinner on Friday, Feb 6. We have eaten at the Capital Grille many times before and this time was the best dining experience we’ve ever had there. The oysters in the half-shell were wonderful- full of briney liquid and so fresh! And my steak was absolutely perfect. I asked for it to be prepared Pittsburgh style and it was absolutely perfect! Rare inside and a beautiful dark sear on the outside. It was the best steak I’ve ever had in a restaurant. In addition, our server, Anthony, was extremely professional and made our night out so enjoyable.
