Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant’s on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille’s wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 – 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required. 1st time trying a Capital Grille. Came to celebrate my birthday with my wife. Reservations are a must at this place as it can get busy and even with a reservation they may ask you to wait till seats are available.
From the moment you are seated, the staff make sure you are taken care of. They are patient, knowledgeable, and dedicated. Our server Nicholas and the managing partner Richard ensured that whatever you were celebrating, you would feel special. Highlights of the meal included a wonderful birthday card with decorated table, well created drinks, the lobster bisque, 48oz porterhouse steak, the lobster Mac and cheese, velvety mashed potatoes, and the scalloped potatoes (which most places I’ve been to don’t even offer). Seeing I was curious about dessert, they even offered a complimentary sample of 2 mini desserts and allowed me to order the main dessert separately if I wanted. Nothing felt pushy, rushed or fake. Only lull in service was regarding waiting for check. Definitely will be coming back to see if this place hits the right notes again. Thank you all for a wonderful night.

Our group of six recently visited for lunch, and as always (we have been regulars for years), The Capital Grille did not disappoint. Since we had requested a quiet spot for conversation, the hostess thoughtfully guided us to a perfectly situated reserved table.
Each of us ordered the two-course lunch pre-fixe. Our waiter, dressed in an African safari explorer uniform, added a touch of pleasant humor to the upscale atmosphere. He served us like a “stealth bomber”—quiet, smooth, and professional—ensuring we felt completely taken care of without being interrupted.
The first courses, New England clam chowder and butternut squash bisque, were the ultimate soul foods for the cold weather. For the main course, our selections of dry-aged NY strip steak, roasted chicken breast, and seared salmon were all cooked to perfection and incredibly flavorful.
Between the top-notch service, the refined atmosphere, and the consistently high food quality, this remains one of our favorite spots.

We had a great family dinner at The Capital Grille. We started with the calamari and lobster bisque—both were delicious, especially the rich and flavorful bisque. For our main dishes, my sea bass was perfectly cooked and the miso butter/shitake mushroom combination was velvety to the palate and delicious. The porcini-rubbed ribeye was outstanding. My kids enjoyed their burgers and fries, which were done just right. Great food, great service, and a wonderful overall experience. We’ll definitely be back!

The Capital Grille has rightfully earned its place as a top-tier American steakhouse. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the tastefully sizeable menu, which included South African lobster, Gold Waygu Filet Mignon and various dry rubbed strips. Our selection of seared tenderloin with butter poached lobster tails and the seared sea scallops with lobster and asparagus risotto was nothing short of perfection. From the ambience to the mains to the creme brûlé cheesecake, tout était tout simplement parfait.

Ambiance: alluring; tranquil
Food: delicious; they should replace the iceberg lettuce with spinach (classier)
– salmon – love the orange glaze; wasn’t cooked all through though
All other meal choices were perfect (i.e. salad, soup, steak, etc.)

Guys I swear their onion soup is THE BEST! You have to eat heeeere,I also got the filet mignon and the coconut cream pie for dessert,all of them were good and good portions for what you pay for,also the ambience is nice,perfect for a nice date or a fine dining experience. The service was good too,after 5 pm they seemed to get busy but server was still checking on my table. I will come back here for another soup!

I made a reservation for my husband on his birthday. We had a wonderful experience. Curtis was very personable knowledgeable and attentive.
The wagu and wine was delicious and did pair well. They decorated the table with little celebration confetti and a birthday card. At the end of meal they presented him with a flourless chocolate cake with happy birthday neatly written on the plate in chocolate. Overall it was a fabulous experience from ambiance, food, & service.

Beautiful restaurant with polite, respectful people. My friend surprised me for my birthday. Didn’t expect a thing. Went in and they had the table decorated just with birthday confetti and a card that says happy birthday. It was cute. Waiter was polite, came with bread and butter then took our order. Got the lobster Mac and cheese as an appetizer and honestly wasn’t impressed. Nothing special and lacked in cheese I feel. The scallops tho, that was amazing. Texture was perfect and the risotto was creamy. The chicken was perfectly cooked. They gave a complimentary birthday dessert with a candle. Felt like this was the cherry on top for my birthday dinner. Extremely impressed by my birthday dinner. Of course on the pricy side. Scallop dish was $68. Chicken dish was around $50. Lobster Mac and cheese was $30. It’s a beautiful restaurant for a special occasion and hoping to be back soon for another special occasion.
