We had a long break at a volleyball tournament so we decided to go get a drink not far from Hy-Vee Arena.
We stumbled across one of the only places open on a Sunday evening. Luckily, this place was open and very inviting.
They made room at the bar for us to come in and have a few drinks. Drinks were great and plentiful, then we got a little hungry. We ordered some truffle fries, which were amazing. Thankfully we ordered two orders. We ended up with a longer delay than expected. So I went ahead and ordered their Smashburger, which came highly recommended from the hostess and the bartender.
That Smashburger was probably one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. The bun was perfectly toasted very light and fluffy. The meat and cheese mixture with the onions and pickles were so good. I had to order another one to let my daughter eat after she played. So glad we came across this place. Next time I’m in Kansas City I’m definitely gonna go get another Smashburger.

Great ambience and spot for drinks, but pretty mediocre food. Smash burger patty itself was fine but it’s on a massive, dry egg bun that dwarfed the patty (dryness and size aside, I don’t know why you wouldn’t do a smash burger on something more typical like a potato bun). The ricotta gnocchi was rough…good textured gnocchi but the sauce and shiitake mushrooms/broccoli that are with it were extremely tangy and not a great flavor profile. Big swing and a miss. And their entree options are limited to 4 options including those two so not much else you could try instead. Probably better to just do drinks here.
Appetizers were better – fries, carrots, and sourdough/whipped butter were all tasty.

I had a very delicious, perfectly portioned gnocchi and excellent local red wine. Food came out quick and the crew on staff were all really friendly and sweet. The atmosphere is lovely- dimly lit, interesting decore and if you’re real lucky they’ll play you some Pheobe Bridgers deep cuts.

Excellent food, service, and Vibe! We have been a few times for snacks and drinks but the most recent visit was for dinner. We sat at the bar, the bartender (Jason I think) was awesome. Our drinks were so good. They have good music that sets the vibe without being to loud. Our Food was so good, we had the Olives, my wife had the smash burger and I had the seasonal pasta that was stuffed with carrot. We also had the smores for desert. I felt like the prices were really good for how excellent everything was. This is the kind of place I want to go to when I go out. There are a handful of really excellent restaurants in KC and this is one of them. It will stay on our favorites list for sure.

By far the best smash burger I’ve had in Kansas City. The flavor was absolutely amazing and the green beans were delicious as well. The service was sub par but the atmosphere, food, and drinks made up for it. Will definitely be back to try the mustard seed cocktail and have another burger!

Everything about the restaurant was 10/10. Welcoming from the moment you walk in the door, service was quick, food came out hot and fresh. Seriously nothing to complain about. Food was SO good. Not a thing we ordered that we didn’t like.

I have been wanting to try this place out for awhile. I picked it for our super club night. I thought it was amazing. I ordered the smash burger and fries. It was delicious. I don’t think this place is for everyone. There is a couple of people in our supper club that are picky eaters. I don’t mean discerning, I mean they like chicken nuggets. Lol. Not sure why they want to be in a supper club. But they even liked the smash burger and fries. The cocktails are inventive. I’m a vodka girl and I enjoyed my cocktail. The Olives were delicious too. To cold to sit outside but in the summer this place would be a nice hangout. Service was good and friendly. My only complaint is if you are inside in the evening it’s very dimly lit. I’m sure for ambiance. But for the old people it is a little hard to see.

This is hands down the best bar in KC. The natural wine list is incredible, the cocktails are all delicious, and the burger is the best in town. Also, the owners and staff are the kindest people you’ll ever meet. I can’t say enough positive things about this place! Thank you Campground for keeping everyone safe and always making everyone feel welcome. We love this place!
