Excellent cocktails, attentive service, and a lovely atmosphere. It’s the ideal spot to unwind over a well-crafted drink, with great snacks to complement it.

The Caley Bar is a nice upscale place to stop in for a cocktail or two while in Edinburgh. However, the service could have been better. When the server presented the check, my friend went to take it from her, and one of the drinks spilled over. No replacement or acknowledgment of any kind was offered. She just helped by bringing over napkins. At the price point paid for our drinks and the prestige of the hotel in which the bar resides within, I would expect a better response and certainly better placement of the check far away from the glasses on the table.

Such a great night! The retro atmosphere of both docor and vinyl record playing dj was on point and we felt totally looked after from the moment we arrived. Damien gave fantastic recommendations for delicious cocktails with perfect snack pairings. Amazing experience all round — we’ll absolutely be back for more date nights!

A lovely place if you are happy to not be able to chat to your friends. If you do like to socialise rather than sit, this is not the place for you as the music is extremely loud. The staff cannot hear to take orders.

The drinks are good, the staff charming, the furnishings nice. The food is so so.

Outstanding service and exceptional cocktails! The drinks were perfectly mixed and the bar bites were absolutely delicious. We were looked after wonderfully by Damien and Ellis — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Highly recommend The Caley Bar for a great night out!

Super cute bar in a wonderful part of Edinburgh! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about alcohol and unique drinks. They were very informative and made custom drinks based our individual palettes.

This bar is worth a visit for the the staff alone!

Recently been refurbished, this is one classy bar that you want to be seen in. The decor is plush, with gorgeous comfortable seating, dim lighting and excellent cocktails. This is one perfect spot for romance – its sexy and ideal for making an impression.
Obviously you dont have to go on a date! Large booths and cube seating to host large groups or just mates that fancy a wee night out.

We had a fabulous cocktail as part of Edinburgh Cocktail Week that was so good we returned the following day for another. On both occasions, the staff were wonderful! The standard of ingredients, including the ice, were of top quality. I cannot wait to return!

This bar has had a makeover recently so we were curious to see what it looked like – we had never been in this bar before.
Designers have gone for very dark low level lighting. One clever thing was attaching mini lights to the menus.

As you can imagine, within a 5 star hotel, its not cheap. My wife had a very nice cocktail (Osaka) at £15 and I had a pint of ‘Bitter & Twisted’ for £7. Then add a 12.5% discretionary service charge.

No atmosphere. The drinks are way over priced and you don’t get a lot at all, the drinks are mainly ice. Service was absolutely poor we were waiting for about 20 minutes to actually order drinks and the waiters walked past us multiple times and just ignored us. There was a DJ playing but they did not fit the aesthetic of the bar. We definitely won’t be coming back, there are a lot of better places to go.
