It’s very “Louisiana” in here and very much so giving “Cheers” vibes. The hubs and I loved our first visit, and one of first few dinners in Lake Charles spent trying out this local gem. Upon looking at the mixed reviews, I admittedly had mixed feelings. But, the movers recommended that we stop by so that’s exactly what we did. We cozied up to the bar, met a few regulars, and had an amazing night of laughs and great food at Cajun’s Wharf. The plan was to check it out and go unnoticed, but that was not the case. It appears that you can’t go inside and not make friends here. Hence, the earlier Cheers reference. TK is a stone-faced sweetheart (but, shhh… I don’t think she wants anyone to know), took excellent care of us, and gave perfect recommendations.
Sidebar: We were so close to trying “backstrap” as noted and seconded by everyone in earshot, but they were out. Next time, for sure. (Because… when in Rome, you clearly eat backstrap! lol)
But, back to what we did try. The duck tenders, the eggs rolls (boudin version), the fried catfish and shrimp were all delish, seasoned well of course, and came out quickly.
The daily specials were also appealing, and we’ll definitely be back as I want to try a burger.
P.S.— I love that they have Crown Peach.

We ordered from them via Door Dash and this is what we received… (pics bellow). 3 Shrimp Po-boys with fries. My daughterhad regular friesthat were stale, our sweetpotato fries were the only good thing about the meal. There were 8 medium sized fried shrimp on a planks sized hogey sized bun. So we ultimately paid over 60 dollars for bread, a few fries, and a huge Styrofoam container! smh! the order came out to be 60.33.

Happy Hour Monday through Saturday till 7! That’s what brought my wife and I in. Also, every Friday and Saturday they have a DJ starting at 8! The food was pretty good, and as always, the draft beer is nice and cold! Check them out!

I ordered from door dash and it was late and my time for delivery kept getting pushed back. Dealt with that but when I FINALLY got the food, I ordered an ultimate sampler and when I took them sauces out of the plate, it was a kids meal. Literally half of what I’ve eaten when I’ve went in. Oh I got plenty mushrooms though. Full serving. Even tried to call when it was being pushed back and they were still open but no answer. I’ll just get Chili’s next time. At least I know I’ll be getting a full platter. And their SW egg rolls are better anyway.
