This small bistro style cafe has a great selection of sandwiches and other items. We got the tea service and shared it. The food was great, fresh and well presented. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

I like the atmosphere, but food is horrible.
I had chicken shawarma sandwich and black tea for my lunch there.
Imagine of chicken shawarma sandwich, i supposed to get sandwich with pieces of chicken in sharwama sauce. You can see in the picture if what I get from my order. I even repeat order with server that I get the right order.
It was a grilled chicken burger with mustard and cold bun. I’m very disappointed with my food. Combine with the price of $16 of this sandwich, I wan’t my money back

I went to get afternoon tea. I’ve had it before and it’s ok, but there aren’t many places to get tea in this city, so I’ll take what I can get.

This year when I went, there was a line. I’m happy to wait until a table is clear, however when it was finally my turn, they told me they wouldn’t be able to make me tea. They told me only 1 person makes the tea (it’s literally loose leaf tea and 2 finger sandwiches) and that person was too backed up and couldn’t make any more tea.

I stood there for 20 minutes and this server was literally staring at me while we waited for a table to open, and not once did she think to tell me that they were no longer serving tea for the day? The cafe was still open for 3 more hours. I felt like a basic courtesy would have been telling people while they waited so they could decide if they wanted to stay, considering it is one of the main things on the menu.

Later when we were leaving a woman shared her experience and told us that we didn’t miss much, that her and her entire family thought the food was awful and they don’t recommended it to anyone.

I would save your time and go somewhere else.

Someone from Pittsburg recommended us this place while we were visiting for a few hours and it did not disappoint. The neighborhood is quite amazing, calm, green and you might wanna look up the Frick family while you’re there.

I went here specifically for the Afternoon Tea option on the menu and called ahead to make sure its always available. I get there and they tell me its not an option for the day BUT I could order the tea and scones and then order a sandwich and dessert seperate. So I decide to do that. I order the scones and tea, I ask for cream for my tea and the clerk says it may cuddle, i say thats ok give me it anyways. Then I order soup sandwich and dessert. The tea comes. No cream, no scones. Then the soup sandwich and dessert come. I ask the waitress where the scones are, she makes a weird face at me with no response and never returns. Then the man the rings me up comes over with a water pitcher and I asked for the scones. He says we never discussed scones, after he literally offered that to me since they couldn’t do the afternoon tea. This place is ill prepared and staff is completely lackadaisical and I will not return. If you’re an afternoon tea enthusiast like myself, dont even upset yourself with the possibility that they may not offer it when you get there.

Went for a friend’s birthday party and had the best brunch ever. The flatbreads and teas were phenomenal. The staff were so kind and helped us with her surprise cake, 12/10 experience!

Had a fabulous afternoon with my girlfriend for afternoon tea here.
We got sooo lucky to get the last table of that Saturday without reservation. If you know you want to make a trip here, make sure you call ahead. We were seated inside because it was super hot out. The host was very nice and got us menu quickly. I never had high tea before so didn’t really know what to expect. I got to say, high tea is definitely a thing and I can’t wait to experience it again. We both got our own tea(great quality) and share a tower of finger sandwiches and dessert. Everything was super yummy and created with care. Scone and jam was SO BOMB! 5 star for ambience and food. Service was also great. Would highly recommend it!

Brunch al fresco!! Having just moved to Pittsburgh, my wife and I were excited to check out the Cafe at the Frick and it did not disappoint. The weather was good so we chose for outdoor seating. We did not have a reservation but had no issues getting a table as we arrived before they opened. The food was bangin! upscale service and great prices. Sitting outside was perfect with our 1 year old. I would recommend without hesitation and I will be re-visiting soon.

The Afternoon Tea is one of the many food options at this cafe. I really enjoyed dining outside in the pretty grounds of The Frick Pittsburgh. It was just such a peaceful experience on a quiet Sunday afternoon. I will for sure be returning soon! No need for reservations at this time and the cafe closes at 3:00 pm I believe.
