Food:

the pizza was really good with a crunchy crust, soft cheese, and good pepperoni. Though I had to take a star off because it was very unevenly cut, and had bubbles in it. The chocolate moose was small and very sweet. A bit too sweet some would say, but overall it was a good dessert.

Service:

Not a big line to get food, but only one counter (at least to my knowledge) to accept cash. The workers were very kind, and I don’t remember a single time they weren’t.

Atmosphere:

Do I even have to say anything for this? The smells of flowers in the air, a nice cool breeze, the warm pizza and the many varieties of flowers around you.

Requiring a ticket to get into Longwood Gardens, this quick service offers a variety of food items that are ready made. We had the mushroom soup, which was our favorite, along with a nice salad with chicken, pomegranate, sunflower seeds, feta, and farro. The quiche, which was disappointing, was very small for $16- Eggs, Cream, Bacon, Scallions, Swiss Cheese, the crust was rubber/cardboard in consistency and taste. Also long strips of onions made this almost impossible to cut with the available plastic ware. We also had a chicken salad croissant sandwich and a baked pasta dish. Other restaurants on property require reservations so, this is your only option for an impromptu sit down, quick meal.

We ate lunch al fresco under an umbrella terrace table on a spring afternoon. Two of us sampled the quiche, shrimp, chocolate mousse, fruit cup and chocolate cake square. Everything was pre-made and packaged for cafeteria-style pickup. The food was all delicious ,but pricey for the serving sizes and ingredients. We spent $65 for the food listed above. We did not see many vegan options, or kid-friendly options aside from fries and chicken tenders. None of the packaging was labelled as being recyclable, and plastic cups were used.

The desserts are where it’s at here! The seasonal options are great to and the entrees are definitely filling and balanced. There’s a ton of different drinks; teas, coffees, espressos, specialty fountain drinks etc. There’s also a wide selection of grab n go sandwiches, yogurts, nosh boxes, soups and more! The only downside is that it can get tight trying to order food but there’s always plenty of seating inside or outside.

The “casual” 1906, good food at a lower price point. Due to COVID all ordering was taken outside in the Beer Garden area. You ordered the food, picked the table, and the server would bring it to you in a brown paper bag. We were surprised at the quality of the food in the setting of a “fast food” environment. The chicken tender basket was great, all white meat with good favor. Pasta carbonara was excellent, many bacon bits and herb. The Chicken Harrissa with side salad was flavorful with fresh green and pinto beans. The beer list could be better, but it covered the seasonal beers well. You do not have a long list, but what you have there are decent.

Overall it was a pleasant outing, and we would come back again to enjoy the food and the ambient of the garden. Expect to pay a bit more, in range of a decent restaurant, but quality does not come cheap….

After the walk around Longwood Gardens, I look a break to end the day by having a buffalo cauliflower salad. It was authentic and quite delicious. I would totally recommend. I also got a lime yogurt and a coke.

The food here is terrible and overpriced. We got the “three cheese” Mac and cheese, it was similar to a boxed Kraft Mac and cheese and nothing about it screamed it’s 7 dollar price tag for the small portion size given. The chili was similar to a canned chili, no fresh ingredients seemed to be used and it smelled the same as if it were out of a can. Taste wise it was a canned chili as well. Lastly the chicken tenders ( 9.75 for 5 small tenders ) had awful breading and no flavor. The tenders weren’t fried well and the breading was as thick as some dry wall and has the consistency of it too with the dryness and sharp texture as it peeled off the tender in one bite.

Total bill was 24.92, for the quality of food a chipotle or cava would be ten times better. It’s disappointing to see that even a McDonald’s could produce better food and at a better price.

The worst part is you can’t re-enter if you choose to leave the gardens. I’m fine avoiding this restaurant but there are no other affordable options ( this one isn’t even affordable for the food you get ).

The food here is decent, but it’s overpriced for what you get. Soups are small for $7, and the caprese sandwich I had was tasteless for $16. The food doesn’t seem to be farm to table, which makes the prices even worse. I was surprised they charged $4 for just a cup of tea or coffee too.

The food was excellent and the ambience of the outside dining area added to the wonderful experience of Longwood Gardens. Highly recommend the Roasted Turkey dinner. Everything, even the desserts, tasted homemade.

It was set up cafeteria style. It was a bit crowded when we were there. The food was delicious and there was a nice variety to choose from. The prices were a bit steep.
