The Cabin is a true Monmouth County gem. I have been many times with my partner, and it’s one of our favorite places to bring visitors to our area. They have one of the best bar pies in the area, in my opinion. It’s super delicious. They have lots of different dining options, including amazing apps and entrees. They specialize in BBQ. I’m a personal fan of the pizza, cabin tots, and kielbasa and pierogis. In addition, I enjoyed when they had Knockwurst as a special. The service is always exceptional. I went recently and the server made me feel right at home. The building itself is really a cabin, and it’s really well decorated and super spacious. It’s very comfortable too. I highly recommend visiting The Cabin if you’re in the area. You won’t be disappointed! Be sure to come on Mondays for half price pizza and wings, and on the weekends for live music!

I came here with my family to have dinner tonight, and I gotta be completely honest, this place is better than most restaurants I’ve ever had. We got wings and nachos as an appetizer. The wings were some of the sauciest, most flavorful wings i’ve ever had. The nachos were unbelievably exceptional. All of our food didn’t take too long to come out, even though it was kind of busy. Everything was absolutely amazing! The service was good, very nice atmosphere. I love the trains! 10/10 (5/5 stars), would 100% recommend, they have many delicious items on the menu!

Had the prime rib which was smoked tender and delicious. One of the best in a long time. Also had the chicken pot pie, which wasn’t as great and a little watered down. But the prime rib was elite. Would go again and again for it.

Food was good but the pulled chicken didn’t come with much bbq sauce. Mac & cheese was yummy! Staff was super sweet and they had a live band Saturday night.

I am sitting at the bar Saturday night 1/10/26 The woman is here by herself, trying to juggle making drinks and very hard that’s number one!!! iced tea mix is on the counter with no top on it so if anybody wants to throw a pill or something in the drink they can I love the place but it’s poor management!!!!!!
Also one of the Help put oranges, limes, and lemons in a dispenser with his bare hand, he should’ve had a glove on! Even the celery is sitting on the counter no cover no container

I haven’t been to The Cabin in almost 15 years, so when I visited I met my buddy here.
I was surprised to see the same sweet woman working (running to perfection) the main bar as when we all used to stop in after being at the fire academy.
This place is still amazing and even more beautiful than I remember.
The food, service and atmosphere is top notch.
I really do miss this place, I have to make it a regular again when I come this way.
Drunken Clams, perfect.
Pork Tacos, excellent.
Prime Rib with Loaded Baked Potatoe, absolutely amazing.
Perfect beer pours as well.

Our friend grew up in the area, a very long time ago (over 20 years ago). And he still to this day will say how the cabin Pizza was one of his favorites.
.
Now mind you, he hasn’t been there in over 20 years, but to this day, He will always bring them up. So we decided to stop in the one time this weekend that we were close to the area.
.
This is our first time here, and from the time you pulled up, to the time you walked inside, and sat down it just was such a cool atmosphere. Really felt like you were hanging out in a log cabin. It was neat.
.
Since they promote having a smokehouse and barbecue meats, we decided to try the burn ends, the girlfriend ordered french onion soup & a cheeseburger plain, my son ordered chicken and waffles And I had to get this pizza that I’ve heard so much about.
.
We have to say we were extremely disappointed, across-the-board almost everything that we ate. Will start with the French onion soup, the onions were not cooked thoroughly and were actually crunchy, undercooked crunchy onions in a French onion soup. We’ve never experienced that anywhere, we felt as if the broth was lacking and beef flavor, and the soup was just a disappointment.
.
We were on the menu, we tried. I think two out of the maybe 10 Burns were enjoyable. The rest were extremely dry really hard to chew and swallow. At $14 that was a waste.
.
The cheeseburger while coming out and being way overcooked when she has to be medium, still had a little bit of juice left, However, she was extremely disappointed. We knew once it came out once you put a burger on a Kaiser bun. It wasn’t going to be that good. There are buns for burgers, such as potato rolls, brioche buns, kaisers to dens of bread to dry a bread to enjoy a burger.
.
My son really enjoyed his chicken and waffles, thought it was better than what he had recently at the chicken or the egg and Marlton, so we’re glad he was happy.
.
The pizza came. Super thin, which we kind of enjoy. The only problem was we think it had to have been undercooked. There was no crisp and anybody to the pizza from the tip to the crust, it was a floppy mess. Very cheesy, which I enjoyed, But it was way too floppy to really enjoy it. If we ever come back here, we would ask the pizza to be cooked well done, and hopefully that’ll make it a little bit better.
.
We called our friend to bust his chops about his favorite restaurant, and now it must’ve fallen off the level of greatness he remembered. Then, on the way home, a friend of ours operates a roadside barbecue Stand, and while we were wishing his wife happy birthday, we told him we just had lunch up at the cabin, and he looked really puzzled and asked why we would go there? We told him we had a buddy of our crew up in the area like 20 something years ago and all he does is rave about the cabin and their pizza. Our friend said they used to be good 20 some years ago, but I’ve since been bought out multiple times and now it’s run by like a restaurant management company and it is not what it used to be. we let them know it was about 20-25 years ago that friend was there so it made sense.
.
Either way, it wasn’t absolutely horrible, we thought the prices were a little bit on the high end for the quality of what was served, but what can you do. The ambience was nice, and we had a lovely day out in the area.

We had a fantastic experience on our first visit to The Cabin Restaurant—the food and atmosphere were both excellent. However, our second visit was a letdown.

We started with the garlic shrimp, which was delicious, but the garlic steak tips fell short. They lacked garlic flavor and, despite requesting them medium rare, they arrived medium.

The brisket mac and cheese was still as good as we remembered from our previous visit, but the BBQ Pit Master 4, which includes ribs, brisket, and pork, was disappointing. The meat was lukewarm and dry, as if it had been sitting out too long. The collard greens were tasty, but the cornbread was stale.

In addition there were several flies flying around, landing our food. We had to consistently shoo them away which was very annoying.

Seems like their food production is inconsistent. For the prices, our food should not disappoint. Not sure if we will be returning for another dining experience.

Anytime I go to the cabin, it’s because some else likes going there…
This last time we met some friends, the bar was moderatly busy, and we were a party of 4 who had to stand bc the couple next to us wouldn’t share space or slide down… Not surprising behavior lately.
So the ladies sat and my friend and I stood behind them, moving for other patrons and staff.
One of the servers tapped my foot while walking but, and proceeded to limp around the restaurant for 25 min… It was quite a show… And our bartender was slow and inaccurate with our drinks. Making my titos with club instead of tonic and making my girlfriend’s drink with the wrong gin…

Again, not my first choice, but I try my best to go with the flow.
