This is a cozy bar/grill serving up American cuisine. The restaurant is clean and remodeled, my first visit ever. The staff, maybe just a server and cook on duty, was friendly and welcoming. Three of us stopped in on our work lunch break. They were a bit busy and we were limited on time. We did have a wait and they expedited our order. Everything was fresh and straight off the grill. They serve hearty portions, good value for the quality.

Cute little place, I was immediately intrigued by their decor(from the money on the ceiling to all the personalized license plates on the wall). I went today (Thursday) around 1pm to place a to go order, there were a few tables and a couple people at the bar and even with only one server(Tara according to my receipt) and a few people to take care of she still took the time to explain to me the story behind the money on the ceiling. She also made sure to include plastic utensils, condiments, extra napkins and labeled boxes without me having to ask which is hard to come by these days for take out. Food was all delicious(burger w/fries and old bay wings) and I’m so glad I got dessert too(raspberry & cream cake) the raspberries were so flavorful and the icing was so light and fluffy and just the right amount of sweet.

Please note this review is from the first Friday of their soft opening.

We arrived early when the restaurant wasn’t very full and were seated immediately. It filled up quickly soon after. Our server was incredibly attentive, and drinks came out fast. (Note – they do not have alcohol available yet.)

After we placed our food orders, however, things slowed down significantly. My elementary-aged daughter ordered the kids burger, my husband the BLT, and I had the Bacon Brake-Check with grilled chicken instead of fried. Around the 30-minute mark with no food, I asked if it would be possible to get tortilla chips for my increasingly hangry child, which the staff kindly accommodated. Her food came out 5-10 minutes later, and our meals followed another 10 minutes after that—roughly 45–50 minutes total.

The grilled chicken on my sandwich was very good, but the bacon was room temperature, the cheese was missing, and the chopped lettuce mostly ended up on the plate. Our fries were great, though fries at nearby tables appeared undercooked by comparison.

Because of the long wait, my daughter’s meal was comped and we were offered free cake, which was appreciated. It seemed like a few tables—including ours—got backed up while others received food more quickly. Meals mostly arrived staggered within parties, sometimes without fries initially, likely while items were finishing in the kitchen.

Service was excellent overall, but hopefully timing and consistency will improve as they move past their soft opening. In totality I’d give a 1 star – but since they went above and beyond to try to make it right – I added another star.

Let me tell you this. Old owners were great. Food was always great but they sold the restaurant. So we wanted to give local restaurant a chance. This place is horrible now. 3-4 people in the back doing nothing. Watched so many items brought out wrong to people. The lady working tables by herself could not keep up. So many customers walked out today. Wish we did but wanted to give place a chance. Now as for food. Don’t expect to get what you see on the website. Not even in same zip code. If I could have walked out without paying I would, but to late for us because the junk that was brought to our table. So be aware of good reviews because they came from previous owners and the new ones kept same name. I give this place two months and they will be bankrupt.

Everything tasted great. We went during their soft reopening. The only thing I would change really is there were TVs on playing music videos silently which was kinda odd while there was not really music playing or kinda like some background elevator music. Woulda been nice to have some football on on a Sunday. The food was really good I got the BLT which was awesome and my mother got the burger and she loved it.

*please note this review is given on the first day of their soft re-opening*
My partner and I were very excited to come back here after their re-opening because we loved coming here. The new staff, specifically the bartender, were friendly. However, we were disappointed in the food. We ordered two apps – Pretzel Bite Flight (Sweet Smoky / Garlic / Cinnamon Sugar) and Crab Dip. The pretzels barely had any seasoning or flavor, they all tasted like normal pretzel bites. The Crab Dip came out cold (not sure if it was supposed to?) and was kind of bland, served with very hot tortilla chips. I ordered a burger with extra American Cheese (was told they only had American or Pepperjack) and fries and my partner ordered the fried chicken sandwich with potato salad. The food took much longer than expected (around 30 mins) and when it came out, my partner was given a grilled chicken sandwich instead. We are so hungry, we didn’t mention it at the time because we didn’t want to wait any longer. The burger had one slice of Cheddar – so I guess they had no American cheese after all? The bartender was nice enough to bring out more since we were charged for it. My partner’s grilled chicken was huge, but bland and without much flavoring. He enjoyed the potato salad, so that was good! The bartender offered us a piece of cake for the wait, which we appreciated and asked for it to-go. When we got home, we realized it was just a small piece of sheet cake, like from a grocery store with a cup of vanilla ice cream. Prior to the renovations, Bypass made their own cakes, so this was disappointing as well.
This was the very first day they opened, so we wanted to give them some grace but there was just a lot more issues than we expected. We wish them the best and hope they can work out the kinks.

My son and I were excited to try a new place we have never been. We came in at 6:15pm tonight. We were immediately greeted, taken to our table, given our menus, and told she would be right back to take our drink orders. 30 minutes went by and the waitress never came over to take our drink order or apologize for the wait. It appeared there was only the one waitress but it was not very crowded and definitely not that busy where she didn’t have time to take our drink orders. After 35 minutes we got up and left.
What a disappointment!

This place absolutely sucks. When we came here during their soft re opening they wouldn’t even let us sit at the bar.

Now this time, the server told us 20 minutes after we ordered our food that they were out of french fries. Most of their menu has french fries for crying out loud. Let it be known there was practically no one even in the restaurant. They have liquor now, no beer. When we tried to order a vodka drink they mentioned only having one of the 5 types of vodka they have on the menu which was basically the most expensive one they had. There’s a freaking abc store across the street. Poorly ran restaurant. After being in the restaurant for nearly an hour, we cancelled our orders and left. Never coming back until we hear of vast improvements.

Burrito says this is a down home hidden gem in both service and desserts. Dumpling thinks it’s just good food – plain and simple. You may not realize it’s a restaurant at first because of its location in the strip plaza, but it’s definitely worth a stop and further inquiry. Burrito has to say the service is it. My cup never goes empty, the attentiveness, general hospitality – people, this is it, and it’s become a dying art. We are both huge fans of the nachos, eat these nachos! Also, solid burgers, but the star of this plate was the hand-cut sweet potato fries . We eat a lot of places and all of them are essentially pouring out a frozen sweet potato fry product, not here folks! The cake is like my grandma came back to earth and made it herself. The desserts here are always rotating and selling out. Save room for dessert!

Second visit since Bypass 168 reopened, and it won’t be our last! Love that the menu is expanding, and the food flight concept is genius — if coffee flights work, food flights totally do too. The Redline Reaper is a must-try; that aioli absolutely takes it to the next level. Can’t wait to come back and try more delicious food! Oh and you can’t miss the Bypass Breeze: ube deliciousness!!
