The vibe was chill, loved the decor inside very homely. The prices are a little much, I spent $21 on a small churro latte a ham and cheese croissant and a jumbo cookie . I loved the drink it was yummy and so was the cookie ! I think the croissant could be bigger for the price though .

Daughter devoured her butter croissant immediately! She also finished her 16 oz Vanilla Milk on the spot.
I choose the churro latte with the garlic cheese croissant. It was so freaking good, hit the spot.

Friendly staff and everything looked good but the taste was little disappointing.
Pistachio cream inside had too artificial color and the croissant was dry like it was a day old , and flavor. Garlic cheese bread was just not good with weird texture like old pound cake. They tried but didn’t do a good job knocking off others.
They were not worth the price. Wish they tasted as good as they looked!

They have really good garlic cream butter rolls. The box they put it in is really cute too. It’s a must come try spot. They also have a bunch of other pastries and dessert.

This is one of my favorite matcha places in all of OC!! I come here every Monday after class for their “Matcha Mondays” special where all the matchas are $4! They have so many delicious options and I have loved every single one. They also have the most delicious pastries as well! The croissants and macarons are all delicious but my absolute favorite is the yuzu lemon tart!!!!!! HANDS DOWN THE BEST TART I THINK IVE EVER ATE IN MY LIFE. Perfect sweetness and has fresh fruit on top, the crust is super yummy as well, super refreshing and yummy!
It’s pretty hard to find good matcha in OC and I can tell you this has got to be one of the very few places that get it right! And with all the different flavor options from strawberry to ube they all are amazing!
The staff are also the friendliest people!!! I’ve only been coming here once a week for the past month I think(?) and they remember me and welcome me back every time 🙂
The atmosphere is great, they always have nice upbeat music on and the seating area is really cute with little couches and coffee tables. Both me and my little sister love coming here to just talk and have some drinks n treats! I also come here to work on my homework or art! Overall 10/10 recommend trying this place out!!!!!

The Buttery is the perfect neighborhood bakery in Fountain Valley. The owner trained in France and Italy, and it shows—everything is made with top-quality ingredients and real care.
My favorite? The ham & cheese croissant —flaky, buttery, and perfectly balanced. Their Portuguese egg tarts are silky with a caramelized top, and the choux cream puffs are light and creamy. They also make stunning custom cakes that taste as good as they look. Of course everything is just the right amount of sweetness.
They recently started serving Moongoat Coffee and matcha. Smooth coffee, rich matcha, and incredible pastries.

The Buttery is delicious! The flavors of cookie, croissant, and tart are unique and innovative. For example, they have croissants stuffed with various cookies. They also have savory croissants that are filled with garlic cheese. Finally, they have berries and cream croissants that are very light and fluffy. They’re also gorgeous. The garlic cheese menu items are absolutely delicious. I often stop by after school to snack on them. Can confirm the red velvet cookies and stuffed croissant are amazing, very indulgent and decadent; I like the juxtaposition of the rich cookie and the flaky croissant. I’ve never seen this before and appreciate the creativity.
The cookies standalone are good too and they come packed in plastic so you can take them on the road, to the office, or for a snack at school. They have really cute and special packaging that is a joyful yellow with a croissant cat that really protects your purchases and makes a wonderful present for loved ones! I often get treats here for my boyfriend as a surprise, and he loves it.
The coffee is amazing too! MoonGoat is an excellent local brand to support and then you get MoonGoat without their infamous valets, lines, and foot traffic to contend with. Nearby there is another coffee shop that also has great coffee; that’s more classic though. Buttery has the fun flavors. Sometimes my boyfriend and I also do Buttery for snacks and check out the other cafe. If you like more sweet and playful drinks, I suggest the Buttery.

This is an ideal place for communing with friends and being more energetic and active. I will note it’s probably not the place to study unless you bring headphones because seating is not designed for hulking down with your books and notes quietly. They play louder pop music, so be aware of that if you have sensory sensitivities or are not in a more bouncy or social mood. You can also get their delicious food to go and eat in the park or at home. You can always do this with their savory croissants too, which can act as sandwiches and lunch. I will also note they have extensive hours for a cafe/bakery some days until the late afternoon, which is super generous and helpful.

Wowwww! What an amazing spot. Ham and cheese croissant was perfect, the passion fruit and mango tart was also perfect, and the churro latte and banana lattes were…PERFECT!!! Seriously blown away by the quality. New fav croissant in oc!
