Also, do not skip the $6 bread. Trust me order at least two. It’s ridiculously good and easily one of the best bites of the night. The smoked salmon was also excellent, with a very rich, well-balanced smoky flavor that didn’t feel overpowering.
However, the service felt a bit off. As a group of Asian diners, we couldn’t help but notice that our white female server seemed noticeably impatient with us. Nothing outright rude, just a tone and attitude that made us feel slightly uncomfortable and less welcomed.
Hopefully the service can be more professional and patient, because great food paired with equally attentive, welcoming service is what truly makes a dining experience feel complete!
The steak tartare had a beautiful presentation, and while I’ve had better at finer establishments, I’d definitely order this again. I loved the steak being diced over mashed, and the toppings came together perfectly without overpowering each other. It was paired with house maid chips cooked in beef tallow, which complemented the tartare beautifully.
I ordered the Butcher’s Steak with a side salad (though, I saw the beef tallow house fries and they looked TASTY!). The steak was not cooked as rare as I’d have liked, but it was still tasty. The salad was simple but good as well.
Overall, Butcher’s Table is a good place for lunch or dinner for those who want a good steak meal without the ultra fine-dining experience.
The staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere made the experience even better. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance—especially if your party has more than four people—to ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit.
Update: We visited the restaurant again for dinner and had a wonderful experience. The menu offered great options, and William, our host, was once again very welcoming. Be sure to reserve a table in advance, as the restaurant tends to get busy.
First of all, food was not fresh enough it took a little while to serving our food.
We had ribeye hamburger sandwiches with beef fat fries.
Hamburger meat was dry and it doesn’t have good meat flavors.
The buns are also dry.
Beef fat fries are not fresh it was lukewarm.
Our server didn’t come out until we almost finished our food.
Overall all service was slow and foods are not good & pretty salty for us.
Burger was veeery good, the starter with salmon and guac was also very tast.
The only thing is, the place was a bit dark.
Apart from that, worth it
Both of us were unimpressed with the rest of the meal quite honestly. Not that it was bad, but this place is mega expensive. Like expect to pay $400+ for 2 people for a full meal and a few beverages. For that price, I expect to be impressed, and we just weren’t. The cuts of meat were fine, but both steaks were undercooked (be sure to pick one level above your norm I’d say) and under seasoned. And nothing else throughout the meal was uniquely memorable.
To me the easiest way to measure a restaurant is to ask yourself whether you’ll come back. The answer for both of us is a definite no. Way too expensive for what you get.
