Stopped in to finally try their burger. Had the bacon cheeseburger and fries. It’s a smash burger which is my fav. It was juicy and flavorful, made with a good quality meat. I think it could use another piece of cheese, but otherwise a hit. Fries were crispy and hot, but do have a coating of something.
The shop itself has a wonderful selection of items and alcohol.
HIGHLY recommend!
Most of the time when I see a steak sandwich on a menu it’s always a disappointment. This one was different. You could actually tell it was a ribeye, the mouth feel WAS STEAK not some shaved mystery meat. Bun was great, chewy outside, soft on the inside. Horseradish sauce was good but would like a spicier option too. Pickles were great too. Give it a try, it’s worth it. Great place and reasonably priced.
I ordered the Philly cheesesteak, which was just okay—edible but nothing memorable. My friend got a gyro, and that was even more disappointing. It came with minimal toppings and barely any sauce. When she asked for extra sauce, the staff just told her it was “hiding under the meat,” without offering more. The fries were overdone, unseasoned, and not enjoyable.
The wait time was also longer than expected, around 30 minutes, even though the place didn’t seem overly busy. It looked like a group of younger staff were running things but seemed unsure of what to do, which didn’t inspire much confidence.
I might give this place another chance since every restaurant can have an off day, but next time I’d definitely want to know what items are actually worth ordering and when the best time to go might be.
I wish I could post a picture but I couldn’t wait to eat the sandwich, it was so good and very reasonable price, especially for being in Victoria.
Highly recommend stopping and checking this place out!
We had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, Brandon, who went out of his way to ensure we were enjoying our meal. This personal touch was truly appreciated and added to the overall positive experience. We opted to dine outside at one of the small tables, but there are also a few tables available indoors.
As a self proclaimed burger connoisseur, I can confidently say the bacon double cheese smash burger I ordered far exceeded expectations. The burgers were absolutely phenomenal, boasting a perfect balance of charred edges, flavors and textures. The buns were fresh, buttered and beautifully grilled with an excellent amount of crunch along the edges. The bacon and American cheese complemented the juicy beef perfectly, creating a truly memorable burger experience! I found myself wanting to immediately order a second burger.
Although I don’t typically write reviews, I felt compelled to share my positive experience at Butcher’s Deli. This gem in Victoria is definitely worth a visit, especially for burger enthusiasts. The downtown area of Victoria is also flourishing and Butcher’s Deli only adds to the charm of this quaint town in the southwest metro of the Twin Cities.
I highly recommend trying Butcher’s Deli’s burgers. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed! I’m already looking forward to my next visit with friends.
