I loved my lunch at the Butcher & the Baker! We looked at 4 other locations in Telluride and their food looked average and was expensive. The food here was more affordable and very fresh since they’re a farm to table cafe and have a farm in Montrose, CO (an hour away).

Great food coffee and baked goods. Service was out of this world the breakfast tacos were insanely delicious. Bringing the pastries back to camp.

I love this place so much, fast counter service even when there’s a long line, the breakfast burritos are the bomb, vegetarian or sausage. Both of them are fantastic.!! I’m also a huge fan of the big juan steak sandwich paired with a margarita, half the price of other restaurants in town with much better quality.

Really enjoyed the food here. Service was top notch and found staff to be very friendly. The cheeseburger was juicy with great flavor. Definitely good quality meat. The bun was fantastic. Burger definitely could have used more sauce, but it’s whatever. The cheese curds I give a 5 star. Very rarely do I give any fried cheese five stars. If you have ever seen my reviews before you would know that I always order mozzarella sticks or cheese curds. The breading on these were absolutely perfect, the cheese was fantastic and the sauce is the best dipping sauce to date. If I’m back in Telluride will definitely be stopping here, if not for sandwich definitely for the cheese curds!

The food was just ok. Half of us had the fries, half had the chips with our sandwiches. The fries were kinda dry like maybe they were sitting too long under a heat lamp. The chips tasted like they were fried in the same grease as the fish. The bread was pretty dry on all sandwiches. One of us had the fish and he thought it lacked flavor. Another in our group had the rotisserie chicken sandwich and loved it. I had a bun-less burger and enjoyed it. We all shared a piece of carrot cake and all agreed it was excellent. So – a mixed bag on reviews from around the table. Nice staff though and fun to sit outside.

Place is a gem! Great coffee & food! The croquet madame is not your typical and I wouldn’t recommend it. I ordered Togo and paid $20 for some soggy brioche covered in mustard and cheese that was not melted. Says shaved ham and I got think cut slices. The other items I’ve had were much better. Thanks for the good coffee!

Great breakfast/lunch spot in the center of telluride. Lots of indoor and outdoor (dog friendly) seating, food was tasty, several vegan and vegetarian options. Ordered the hash bowl and the mushroom sandwich and both were super tasty. Also has good cocktails

Got the chicken chopped salad with tofu subbed- this was the saltiest salad I have ever had and it looked like something I could easily buy at the grocery store, for $17 you expect more. My friends burger was dry and the fries were undercooked- it’s a cute atmosphere but the food was bad, especially at their prices.

Maybe this place is better for breakfast but I haven’t been this disappointed in eating a lunch in awhile. The “sparkling lemonade” is just lemonade they added tonic water too so it just tastes watered down. The burger is definitely NOT waygu and it was the driest burger I have ever gotten at a restaurant. The fries it came with were undercooked and was like eating a raw potato. My friend paid $17 for a super salty inedible salad…after they messed up her order the first time. I’m sure the baked goods are better, I won’t be trying them, but seriously not worth the price for lunch. So bad.
