The Burning Pear is the restaurant inside the Marriott Hotel in Sugarland City Walk. My sons school used the hotel as a testing site for STAAR. Quiet atmosphere and food was ok. They offer a breakfast buffet or you can order off the menu but they don’t offer lunch. Only breakfast and dinner.

Staff is nice and helpful!

A FULL hot breakfast! Everything you eat for breakfast plus eggs, potatoes, bacon/sausage or an omelet to order. Comfortable seating and our hostess (both mornings we visited), Luc, was just lovely and really took care of us. Breakfast hours seem a little later than other hotels: 11 am on Sunday and 10 am on Monday. Definitely add this to your morning and you won’t need to stop for lunch.

A perfect atmosphere for a great drink. I ordered a Bulleit Old Fashioned. Great quality and balance in the drinks. Their food was awesome as well. The Burning Pear is in the lobby of the Marriott.

This often overlooked gem is nestled inside the Marriott Hotel in Town Center. It boast a quiet and intimate ambiance. The food is excellent and the service is even better.

The bar is huge and has every top shelf spirit you can think of.

The breakfast buffet is Not worth the 22$ I was charged. You get the exact same food as you would at any other hotel’s Free continental breakfast. I would never have eaten here if I had been informed it wasn’t included with the room.

This is the second time I have stayed at the hotel where this establishment is. There is no continental breakfast. The Burning Pear charges more than $22.00 for breakfast buffet. It is ridiculous and I lose my temper because I only want a little fruit and oatmeal. I don’t feel their prices for there buffet is warranted.

Nice to have a proper breakfast buffet. Service was excellent! Thank you Hugo and staff. The food was better than what you’d normally expect from a hotel buffet. Loved the grits and great waffles!

Came for brunch buffet on a Sunday since we live near town square. It was a horrible mistake. They had day old dried out pastry. Oatmeal station that was dried out and looked very unappetizing. Some fruit that was a bit sour and smoked salmon which was edible Breakfast affair was watery bland scrambled eggs. Mediocre bacon and sausage. Some oatmeal flan thing which was gummy and not good. They had an omelette station so at least you can get one thing fresh there. On top of all that the coffee was bitter enough to make think it had vinegar in it. We arrived at 11 right as they opened so we don’t see why the food was so dry, stale or watery.

The ambiance is nice. It’s connected to the Marriot hotel and the bar. Comfortable chairs and booths and warm decor.

It was 18 dollars per person for this very poor excuse of a breakfast buffet. I’ve had better free breakfast at cheap motels on business trips. With so many quality restaurants around I suppose they think they can get away with those prices for travelers passing by.

If this is any indication of their lunch or dinners I would greatly advise you take a short stroll to many of the dedicated restaurants in the vicinity.

Great drinks. Enjoyed my sliders and fries to cushion the alchohol.
