The service was wonderful! It was my first time there and it’s not a food that I am familiar with unless it’s off of a halal cart, which I have visited in the past but this type of food was different and delicious. The proprietor was very kind in explaining everything to me and putting my sauces on the side and making recommendations and I was happy to wait for my freshly prepared food. The restaurant is very clean and inviting. Give them a try, and give them some time. They’re a wonderful new addition to the community. I know I’ll be back
Great food and good portions!
Try the smoothies and rolled ice cream
Hand cut zabiha
The food itself was okay, not great, not terrible. The wings were average, and the gyros actually tasted good. So yes, the food can be decent. But everything around it ruined the experience.
The place is new, yet it looks like it’s been operating for 10+ years without proper cleaning. When we walked in, there was no one at the counter, no staff visible. We stood there for a bit before anyone showed up. It was lunchtime.
The menu is simple, which is fine, but for Pakistani food I expected more variety. There were three of us. The person taking our order seemed inexperienced and had very limited English, which by itself is not an issue, but if you’re front of house, you need to be able to answer basic questions and understand orders.
We sat down at a table that hadn’t been cleaned or wiped, so we had to clean it ourselves.
Food started coming out, but only for the second person, then the third. The first person’s order never came. We waited because the staff seemed “busy,” even though the restaurant was empty. When we finally asked about the missing order, we found out it was never entered. They simply didn’t realize all three people ordered food.
They then started making it, and we waited another 5–10 minutes. When the wings finally came out, we asked for them to be boxed to go because we had already waited too long. That’s when the biggest red flag happened:
The cashier — not the cook — picked up the wings with bare hands, no gloves, and put them directly into a to-go container.
That is unacceptable. Not even at home.
The person who received that order didn’t even eat the food after seeing that. About an hour and a half later, I personally started feeling stomach pain and had to rush to the bathroom with diarrhea. I can’t say for certain what caused it, but the timing speaks for itself.
I’m genuinely disappointed because I wanted this place to succeed. With proper management, cleanliness, and trained staff, it could be good. But as it stands now, I do not recommend it.
First visit, and definitely the last.
The food itself was outstanding. I ordered the halal burger, and it was easily one of the best burgers I’ve had—fresh, juicy, and packed with flavor. Everything tasted well-prepared and made with care, not rushed or generic. The service was also very quick and efficient, which made the visit even better, especially if you’re hungry or on a schedule. On top of that, the atmosphere of the restaurant is great—clean, lively, and perfect for families or friends. Overall, Burning Munch is a place I would absolutely recommend and will definitely be coming back to.
