Food was excellent. They open at 11:30 AM Wed thru Fri. We got there Friday morning at 11:28 AM just when they opened. Restaurant is kinda small.

What a great soul food restaurant in Olive Branch! There was three of dining in and two of us had the meatloaf and the other guy got a vegetable plate. I must say that the meatloaf was some of the best I have ever eaten! The portions on the meatloaf were also the largest I have ever gotten from a restaurant. To go with my meatloaf I had the yams, collard greens and mac n cheese. The collard greens were some of the best I’ve ever ate. The yams and mac n cheese were also excellent. One of the other guys had the fried okra and man was it good. The guy that got the vegetable plate was from up north and he was blown away with the food, said it was some of the best eating he had ever had. The service was excellent and the staff was extremely friendly. I highly recommend The Burning Bush and will definitely be back.

My, my, the food was delicious. Just a few observations.
1. If you open at 2 pm, be prepared to begin at 2 pm!
2. Someone should be getting the written order from the young lady up front versus her taking order, hand writing them, leaving the front to take them in the back. There is no value added in that process, which slows the long line.
3. The counter appears to be the location for ordering and picking up orders. Placing a baby on the same counter to play with while transactions are occurring is not ok. Think about it! What’s in that diaper? What’s on the surface?
4. It’s an up and coming business, not a playground. We want to see it prosper. The food is delicious.

Ordered the Meatloaf..best ever..cabbage, candied yams, peach cobbler and sweet tea..loved everything about this restaurant. Will definitely return for more..2nd plate was smothered pork chops..same veggies …delicious

First off, customer service is TOP TIER! I had to call her a couple weeks earlier to schedule a large catering order for work, and she stayed on the phone with me for over 30 minutes, answering all my questions and working with me while I pieced together my work order. She was very professional, returned a voice mail I left very promptly, and followed up with me several times, with updates, the day the catering order was set to be picked up. Food… the chicken was TERRIFIC, 10/10! Everything was pipping hot and delicious! For the sides, I ordered mashed potatoes, greens, Mac and cheese, cornbread, and yams! Everything was so tasty and seasoned just right! I kept getting compliments on the catering order and everyone kept asking where is it located, etc. Such a hidden gem, but well worth the drive and money! Such a great experience with BOB! Recommending to everyone I know who is looking for great soul food! Thank you again for an amazing experience

Definitely mediocre Mac and cheese noodles still hard with bland flavors, yams was hard In The middle. Cat fish was just okay? Definitely sad to see it’s one of the best places in area. Expensive and didn’t even eat 2 bites! Drive to Memphis!

The Burning Bush is a hidden gem off of Hackcross. Clean and friendly atmosphere. Prices are reasonable. The Burning Bush carries a simple menu allowing them to specialize in the food goodness. A meal prep is also available for the busy people.

They open at 2, half the menu was gone at 3.29 which is when I placed My order! We tried this out on Sunday thinking we could get good soul food… terrible Dressing was watery no seasoning the greens tasted old the yams were ok but for $60 I could’ve cooked the entire meal oh and the wait was 39 minutes oh and chicken and dressing was missing the chicken no other meats offered but smothered turkey lazy at the counter was condescending when asking questions as if she was annoyed won’t be back

The food was good however, they were out of some of the main menu items. Several people were waiting until more was prepared (30 to 45 min). There is no urgency in taking orders from the customers in line. I notice some customers who had to go to work leave. The owner seemed preoccupied with the cellphone. I would love to see the customer service improve. It is a new restaurant and the food is good.
