On a late evening drive we stumbled across this little gem ! Talk about All-American burger joint, the way God intended!! Pretty simple menu but enough variety there is something for everyone. Bison, beef, pastrami, chicken and fish. Whether you are in the mood for a burger sandwich or basket they have you covered. While disgusting pacific coast burger joints come “in and out” of Idaho, it’s comforting to know that there are still local businesses that treasure good old American burger joint values with locally sourced Bison and service that will knock your socks off. So, if you treasure good food and want to support local businesses, please grab the closest California “comrade” that has moved in and bring them in to The Burger Joint to provide a history lesson on American diner food that George Washington would sink his wooden chompers in to!!

This charming little burger joint is absolutely worth the wait, so please be patient as your meal is being prepared with care. I promise, it’s absolutely worth it!

The lovely lady who took our order (who I believe was an owner) was incredibly friendly and welcoming! We ordered two cheeseburgers with onion rings and pastrami fries, and let me tell you… Those fries? Hands down the best thing we’ve ever tasted! The burgers were perfectly cooked, just the way we hoped, which were nice and well-done.

The portions are incredibly generous as well, making this place an excellent value for your money! Thankfully, we stopped by on our way to Portland, and I can confidently say this is a must-visit food stop!

Loved it! Burger Joint really delivers! We haven’t been back for a while, and I regret not coming back sooner. The staff is always very kind, and they do a good job keeping the place tidy and comfortable.

Given, Im a poor kid from Boise, so $12-$18 (or more with extras) for a burger and “half” order of fries will sound a little rough up front. DONT LET IT FOOL YOU – absolute misnomers! The burger was big, and tasted amazing. The fries were also really good, and their “half” order is other places “full” so you won’t be disappointed. Good volume, fair price, amazing food – That’s the goal friends!

Thank you all for your hard work and kindness, we were very impressed! The mint chocolate cookies were also incredible, so thank you for the extra holiday treat. I could eat those every day and never get tired of them!

This place has the very best pastrami burger. Order it all the way, and you won’t be disappointed. The fries and shakes are pretty GOOD, too. This is my go-to burger place, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. Thanks y’all.

Wow amazing!
Not only the the ascetic of this small joint very welcoming and home like, the staff is the pure symbol of classic customer service with smiles and greeting’s right down to the coming back to make sure all is good.
Now lets get into the food the mushroom swiss burger with onion rings was my choice of meal, and if that was the last thing i could ever eat id be fine with that.
It was warm, juicy, and the tastiest burger i have ever had.
The onion rings….oh the onion rings beer battered goodness not the cheap crunchy ones that destroy your mouth, the burger joints onion rings are smooth savory goodness.
I wish i could give more than five stars for this home away from home
But id recommend this lil burger joint to everyone looking for a good home style burger!
Update the staff reconized my wife even with her having only been here 3 times! Talk about homestyle feeling

We loved it! The burgers were juicy! They had the bacon ranch burger on special for $12, burger, fry and drink. The fries were battered which 3 out of 4 of us really liked. We had to try the clam chowder and we’re glad we did it had lots of flavor and tasted homemade. The cashier/waitress was friendly and kept our drinks full. We will definitely be back to visit. 8months later and everything still tastes great. We paid more like $15/burger fry and a drink. Not too bad considering how expensive everything has gotten. Still same great service.

Best dinner I could have had for my birthday. Best milkshake ever too! It’s nice to come to a place that is privately owned and operated. Thanks folks at The Burger Joint in Parma Idaho.

This place is a gem. Honestly, this takes me back to Burger shacks. Fresh meat, home made sauce, fun sides, friendly service. I have had the deluxe cheeseburger, pastrami Ruben, and western burger. The burger is just a great burger (not fancy;just good). The pastrami Ruben is good, but make sure you really like pastrami. The best was the western. bbq with their sauce was meant to be. If you are nearby this place is a must.

I give it four stars because I feel there’s always room for improvement.
That being said, this food is better than many restaurants I see that have a lot of good reviews. Taking the location into account, I’m even more impressed with the quality of the food. I’ve had way too much food from restaurants around here that’s so gross I don’t understand how people can eat it.
My wife and I ordered in the drive through and wanted to try a couple of things so we got the western burger, pastrami on rye and fish n chips. We also got a couple of shakes.
Both of our shakes had peanut butter in them, and we were told they use Jiff creamy peanut butter. Maybe I’m a bit of a food snob, but I don’t like all the ingredients that Jiff peanut butter has in it. In a perfect world, I’d prefer if The Burger Joint would use a peanut butter that was just peanuts or maybe peanuts with some salt and that’s it.
Other than harping on that, we were both very impressed with how things tasted. The fish and chips especially were delicious, they were crisp on the outside and somehow still juicy on the inside.
I would recommend trying a little bit of everything. Definitely planning on coming here again.

Extremely disappointed. I ordered a chicken strip basket, which is 14 dollars plus tax. Only 3 chicken strips. I got tiny, thin, cold chicken strips, and basically a small fry amount of fries, also cold. It looks as if it was a kids meal, wich shoukd have cost about half of what i paid. Extremely upset. Would not reccomend. Spent almost 60 dollars for food that is not worth it.
