I went to visit the place on August 5th around 6:10 pm with my sister. We arrived and we sat down. Usually when we go to dennys people welcome and greet you but not at this specific location. We sat down and I told my sister let me just make sure they accept Apple Pay before they approach us for our order (since I forgot my card at home). I went to the front where there happen to be only 1 worker by the name of Regina. She was counting cash and I stood there politely waiting for her to acknowledge me without having to interrupt her. But I stood there for a while & after a moment I realized she knew I was there.. I asked “do you guys accept Apple Pay ?” And without looking up at me and acknowledging my presence she just answered “yes” while counting cash in her hands. I turned around and thanked her but she didn’t reply or give me a smile. So I went to go sit back down and I told my sister we’re good. We were looking at the menus but no one came to take our order . Even though there was staff on site .. I mean the waitress that was assisting other customers saw us that included Regina ..cause she had to know since she was at the front when she saw us walk into the restaurant. 10 minutes pass and now it’s getting to 15 mins and I assure my sister they are probably just short staffed. But it all changed when a male ( you can tell was a truck driver) came in to sit down… I saw Regina walking right behind him with a menu sitting him down at a table and giving him the menu .. I could hear her say “ I’ll be with you in a minute sir.” As she was going to the back I assume to get him something .. my sister called out to her from across the room “ ma’ am we haven’t be attended yet.” She replies and says “someone will be with you.” We both looked at each other with a confused face; I was disgusted with the behavior and didn’t appreciate the unfair treatment.. I quickly told my sister “let’s go.” We exit the restaurant before leaving I saw Regina attending other customers at the front again and I asked her what her name was … the response & her demeanor still remained the same as the first time when I asked her about Apple Pay. Unable to face me looking down without acknowledgment… not even a “we are sorry for your experience we are just short staffed.” I never in my life been treated in this manner when visiting dennys they are always so homey and staff members polite and respectful. Is it because I looked like I didn’t have money ? Was it my skin color ? No one should be treated the way me and sister were that day and I hope no one ever does have to go through that. I work in customer service and have been for many years .. there’s is something I know about it “treat others how you would want to be treated.” And that wasn’t it… that was poor customer service. That is my honest truth about this dennys and if you dont want to experience what I did maybe try avoid going to this Dennys. The one on university has good polite workers that are respectful take your money there.
