Reviews
I ordered from “The Burger Den” expecting a premium $20 burger as advertised. What I got instead was a bait-and-switch scam. The order took me to a Denny’s, which apparently operates three ghost kitchens under false restaurant names — something they refused to clarify on the phone and were extremely rude about.
They didn’t have our order ready, didn’t even acknowledge our food existed, and then gave our order to someone else. When we asked for a refund, they said we had to go through DoorDash. DoorDash refused and said it was up to the restaurant. A complete runaround with zero accountability from either party.
Then the staff lied to DoorDash claiming they gave us our food, even after giving a fake receipt for an entirely different restaurant and order. The employee “April” was especially nasty, aggressive, and dismissive. Her behavior alone would be enough to get most people fired.
At the end of the night, we were charged $20+ for food we never received, got lied to, blamed, and scammed. This is FRAUD — plain and simple.
I highly recommend avoiding any restaurant that operates under “The Burger Den,” “The Melt Down,” or whatever fake ghost kitchen name they are using. This is deceptive, unethical, and criminal behavior.
I’ve filed complaints with DoorDash, the Better Business Bureau, and will be reaching out to local consumer protection and state attorney general’s office. Places like this should not be allowed to operate under false pretenses while stealing from customers.
