This is a hidden treasure we never expect to find in Olive Hill. The food was so good. Chicken was perfectly cooked and moist. The various spicy sauces lived up to the heat challenge. The atmosphere was casual and well designed. This is a definite must-go place.

Long post, but y’all need to read it! Awesome experience at The Burger Barn tonight, though I thought it wouldn’t be at first…
The boys and I went to eat dinner tonight – Waylon got the burger sliders with queso mac and Hunter and I got a steak with a baked potato and salad. I ordered my steak well done and everything came out looking great. I cut into my steak and boom, it was bloody. I wasn’t going to say anything because my son eats his that way. I would have happily given it to him. However, when the waitress came over to check on us, she took one look at the steak and said “that’s not the way you ordered it” then asked if I wanted her to take it off my tab or replace it. I told her it was okay and that I was not worried about it and wasn’t even going to say anything. She walked away and moments later a manager came over, apologized, and told me she was knocking a percentage off my bill. I thanked her, she walked off and I thought it was over. THEN the partial owner came out, looked at it, asked if he could take it back to the kitchen to show the cook because they were saying it was thoroughly cooked. I said sure and told him that it was truely ok. He told me it was unacceptable and that they were going to fix it. A bit later he came back with a new steak, perfectly cooked (and yummy).
Long story, short – they recognized an issue without a complaint, took matters into their own hands, and went above and beyond to fix it and ensure that the cook was aware of his mistake so he could do better. I’ve never had an experience like this and truely appreciate everyone’s hand in resolving things and making them right. The food was great, environment was wonderful, and the staff were exquisite!
Go give them a try! (Know before you go though, that the baked potatoes are huge enough to be a meal themselves. You’ll definitely need a to go box!)

This place is Amazing and delicious , you guys have to come down and see this place its Gorgeous and the people are so friendly not to mention above and beyond customer service. I will definitely be coming back for a second , third and fourth visit . A+ in my book

Very generous portions of food, very tasty and filling. Fried green tomatoes were excellent, onion rings not so much. It is loud and parking is limited. Very challenging to find the entrance from the road.

Rating would be more of a 3.5 if it was possible, but since it’s not, it leans closer to a 4 than a 3. My S/O and I stopped here for dinner and overall it was a good experience.
Our server was very kind, present at the table the perfect amount, and felt welcoming to the restaurant.
I ordered the house sirloin with mac & cheese and a baked potato, she ordered the chicken tenders with broccoli and mashed potatoes.
The sirloin was alright but over seasoned. I ordered it medium well and it was more like medium (which was fine). The baked potato was also decent, nothing special but good. The mac and cheese was great and I wholeheartedly recommend it.
My S/O had a similar experience. The tenders were great and come highly recommended. The mashed potatoes and broccoli were both okay but nothing special.
TLDR; the service and atmosphere are great and the food is overall good. We will definitely be eating here again, just maybe picking a few different menu items.

We took a day trip to Carter Caves, which is about an hour from our home! Of course after all the physical activity, we were all starving! We found this place near by and thought we would dive it a try!
I can’t even begin!! The food was beyond phenomenal!! The people were wonderful and matched my energy! Even the chef came out and introduced hisself and made sure the food was to our satisfaction!
And of course I had to high five him for the fantastic job he did! We will definitely make the hour drive to eat there again!!

The Burger Barn is a great asset to Olive Hill, KY! The atmosphere service, and food were top notch I got a club sandwich with steamed broccoli and everything came out perfectly. I wish Shawn the best with this endeavor. One word to describe the food is quality
