The food looked good but it’s was lacking flavor and salt. The host wasn’t around and when she came we had asked about the cdl menu she was rude telling us in the bad attitude it’s only for truck drivers didn’t even let us explain we were truck drivers , but when we left the restaurant she was there on her phone nonchalantly. When we did get seated it looked like a while to get a server. She was honestly a good server too. She gave us recomendaciones and I forgot her name. I got the shrimp scampi which had no flavor not even hot, with excessive garlic. And the ceaser salad had to much dressing I wish the would but the dressing on the side. The steak was lacking salt and the broccoli could be put together a bit more smaller manageable bite size. The cup with hot water smelled like fish, like not properly washed. The place felt nice clean and the live music was a nice touch. But sadly won’t be coming back.

Delightful roadside restaurant serving hearty comfort food and drinks. The seating is spacious and comfy, and features plenty of TVs with sports, paired with delicious food and awesome service. You can’t go wrong! Great for families, travel ball teams, or any road warrior that needs a place to relax and enjoy a good meal.

Did I mention the service was great?

Also, I would be remiss if I didn’t point out the history of this wide spot on the road. In 1931, men and families flocked to the desert in anticipation of the Boulder Canyon (Hoover Dam) construction project. The city of Boulder City was eventually founded as a company town to house the workers, with a reservation boundary that stretched 5 miles out of town.

Boulder City was a vice-free community, with strict rules abput drinking and gambling. Naturally, houses of ill repute sprung up on the outskirts of the reservation, with the property at Railroad Pass being particularly popular. The small gap in the mountains was directly between the work camp and the growing city of Las Vegas, making it hugely popular with workers looking for a good time. The brothels and saloons on this auspicious mountainside were awarded only the fourth gambling licence in the state and has the distinction of being the oldest continually operating casino in the state.

Across the street is the Bullet Train restaurant. Enjoy!

Nice enough place. Was seated in a moderately busy atmosphere, sat for about 15 minutes with no server in sight. Ended up going to the bar and handled business myself. The honey stout brew they have is delicious, the steak dinner was crap. Looked well put together, decent enough cut of meat, however it was overcooked by 2 grades, and everything was bland. No seasoning at all. Mashed potatoes were of the instant variety, only flavor was the gravy. Even a heavy dose of S&P couldn’t coax flavor from the steak, which is an astonishing feat in and of itself. The veggies were steamed, un salted and un inspired. Bar jockey was a bro and knocked the drink off the total.

I’ve stopped here many times, but this is the first meal I’ve had at The Bullet Train.

We were seated quickly, they were happy to accommodate us with a booth

Our server Kayla was outstanding, she got our drinks quickly and was very attentive the entire time we were there, knowledgeable about the menu, fun and kind

Our food was fantastic, the lemon chicken soup was AMAZING! I could honestly eat it every day.

My husband ordered the beef tips, he said it was fantastic, beside the beef the mashed potatoes were his favorite and the vegetables were delicious and cooked perfectly

I ordered the veggie pasta and a cesar salad with added onions. The zucchini was really good in the main dish, the hummus sauce was tasty and the serving size was enough to fill me up.

I ordered a cappuccino, it was hot and tasty, no complaints at all.

10 out of 10 service and experience, I hope all future visits will be as good as this one

Maybe the best Ribeye if ever consumed.

So I’m a truck driver and I stopped to get scaled at the adjacent TA. I am on the carnivore diet, that is, when I am dedicated enough to stay away from goodies.

Upon entering the establishment, I was promptly and warmly greeted by the host Grace. She clearly described my option for dining and I chose the bar.

I don’t drink alcohol but I enjoy the conversations found at watering holes, so I sat and was welcomed by the bar tender Alexis. I ordered up a water and explained to her my dietary restrictions, yeah I know that sounds pretentious, but here we are.

She was truly knowledgeable about not only my diet but the options for me here at the Bullet Train.

I asked for an accomodation and instead of shrugging her shoulders she checked with the Chef, an individual named Robert.

Upon returning she was accompanied by Robert and they explained to me the price for the accomadation and asked me not only how I would like my steak cooked but also about seasonings and everything.

Not only was the service responsive and rapid, I tell you, I eat a lot of steak, and the ribeye I had here was incredible and the price was reasonable.

If I could give this review more stars I would. From start to finish it was fantastic.

A few locals were here as well and it seems like a great place to dine.

Btw, this all occurred roughly around 11 am. Yeah 11.

So if you find yourself gliding through the desert along this route, I highly recommend a stop off here at the Bullet Train.

See you guys next time.

First, to say, talk about go big or go home. Don’t make the mistake like we did, the appetizers aren’t small, like you’d think they’d be; they’re full meals, we ordered so many appetizers, on top of a normal meal, it all tasted fantastic, and was well worth it, but boy did we have food for breakfast, even lunch the day after. The waitresses were on top of everything, very attentive, gave fantastic service, and almost wished we could eat there again, though sadly we’re traveling. It was interesting that we’d have to buzz in to get into the restaurant.

I visited during a slow time so there was only me and 1 other table occupied.
The waitress was fast, gave me plenty of time to decide, and surely put my order in promptly because it was less than 10 minutes before the salad and then the entree came.
Salad was fresh! Also came with plenty of dressing. The pasta was a little under cooked. The shrimp were big and unlike most places, there were plenty included in the dish!
The Elvis bread pudding….make sure you get a box because that is too big for 1 person. Lasted me 3 meals!!
The full meal, of which I had leftovers, cost less than $40. Great portion-cost ratio!

This is one of our favorite places to go to!

Close by a gas station, so we often eat first and gas up second.

The service has always been pleasant and food always good. A nice stop between Boulder City and Las Vegas, great food, awesome service!

Well keep coming back!

Stayed here for a few days and ate at least 4x at this restaurant. Food is so much better eaten at this location. Rather than Togo. They don’t treat their Togo customers the same as those dining. The food quality is greatly diminished. Truckers don’t always have time to dine in. For example: a couple of to-go items ordered wings was decent but ranch was not thick but watery. Ordered stick salmon tonight after having it on a dine-in and no sweet soy drizzle on either salmon (plus salmon was dry) and the menu states broccolini but we got a few pieces of broccoli. Your Togo customers matter.

Modern space with a large selection of breakfast, lunch, dinner. We had breakfast plates – eggs were fresh, the sausage links are large and have great spice & flavor, breakfast potatoes were delicious. Also had a spicy Bloody Mary which was very good. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Staff is very friendly. Great location and parking.
