Ya know for 58 bucks you would expect amazing food and top notch service well today we did not get that. It was my nephew’s 21st birthday so we figured we’d have some dinner before doing a little gambling and sadly I would have of rather ate at Golden Corral (and for less money) Food was terrible, cold and bland. The table next to us over indulged in the all you can eat crab legs and vomited right at the table halfway thru my first plate. No, not the restaurants fault but it did ask to rate the atmosphere and I did have to find someone to ask them to clean up the mess after it sat there for some time because I started to smell it. And why do I have to pay 58 dollars because of the all you can eat crab legs if I’m not eating them, that should be an option, like pay so many more dollars to add the crab legs. The service wasn’t terrible but not good enough to get me to return. So anyway I strongly do NOT recommend this place!

We just ate there yesterday (6/8/23)and it was disgusting! The food was so dried up, you couldn’t even chew it. I did speak up about how nasty everything was. I was told it’s because I came on the wrong day. Thursday’s are slow so the food sits longer. The sausage was so shriveled up that it looked like beef jurky. I got a peice of cheese cake and it was warm! It also had a thick coating on the outside from where it sat out all day. We never received refills on our drinks either. I will never be back!! It is $38 per person and there was 3 of us. Not one person offered to refund us any of our money back. DO NOT EAT HERE YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!!

Buffer has gotten much better since its original opening. Quality of food is good, sometimes a bit overcooked. Prime rib was excellent, and Asian food was very good.

Went to the South Bend Casino Buffet and was very pleased with the service from Head Chef Angel. He went out of his way ‘twice’ to come to our table, when we had a question, to make sure our visit was above satisfactory. Years ago this buffet struggled to be good, but with Head Chef Angel behind the wheel, I see nothing but a great turnout for the Casino Buffet. I would give him 10 stars if it would allow.

I’m only giving this a one star so I can leave a review. My husband and I received a gift card as a wedding gift. We could have chosen any restaurant at the casino but we decided to give the buffet a second chance. The first time we went was for my birthday in July. We left the buffet displeased after spending $50 for the both of us. Everything then was very bland. The best part of the meal then was the Mac and cheese. And then tonight as a late valentine’s dinner the food was very bland. But even worse it was cold. Nothing and I repeat nothing was hot. Not even the bqq ribs they literally put out 2 seconds prior. We paid with a gift card and didn’t have cash on us. We explained to the waitress that we didn’t think to stop at the bank to get cash. She was very understanding! We tried to give her the remaining balance on the gift card. She came back out and said she couldn’t take it. My husband and I were upset by that. We never not leave a tip for good service. Our server Lisa (I believe) was cheated for her hard work. Even after she knew she wasn’t getting a tip she stayed consistent. Taking out plates and getting refills. The best part of this meal was the service provided and my husband iced tea. So glad we didn’t spend our money a second time around.

The food was cold, old, and tasteless. The meat had HUGE hunks of fat leaving very little to eat. They advertised slow roasted beef on the weekly menu but did not have any. They did not fill the food unless it was close to being empty or empty and if there was anything left they just mixed the old in with the new. I was terrified about getting food poisoning. The best part was the dessert… definitely won’t be going back…. not for $20 a person.

The one thing to fix here is freshness. I tried everything on the hot bar. They need someone to check the food every 15 minutes. It was dried out. The food left the pan probably 45 minutes before i ate it. Even the things that were covered and steaming were dry. It was a disappointment. The fresh meat bar had well cooked meat perfectly moist, but need more seasoning on the Turkey and pot belly. The salad bar was decent.. really good broccoli salad. This sounds a lot like I’m describing a typical buffet. Here’s where it is different. It is $22. And their desserts are delectable. Such a large selection of desserts and i tried about a dozen things. All were fine with flavor. The things that weren’t in a steam table were dying. Like the cheesecake was warm from being left out… but omg it was good. Fix the hot bar and I’d pay the 22 and increase the review. Otherwise you’ll have to take the price down to 12 to get me back.
