One of the best buffets I’ve dined at in a long time. The crab legs, lobster tails, and prime rib were amazing! A wide range of options to choose from and all the food is fresh. Steak was cooked to perfection and the kielbasa was extremely flavorful. I also tried the pho, which was authentic and great options to choose from. And the desert options are limitless. I’m already looking forward to going back. I’ll be dining here every time I’m visiting Blackhawk.

VERY DISAPPOINTED! I wouldn’t waste your time going here. It’s called the BUFFET- however this is false advertising when it comes to the crab and lobster portion of the buffet. You WONT find it in ANY regular or small print! You will pay $60 per person and each person is allowed 1 small lobster tail and 1lb of snow crab legs (approximately 6 legs). Each additional retail or 1 lb crab is $10. The rest of the buffet is subpar. I’ve tasted better Asian food at Panda Express. Mexican food, terrible. Food line servers are RUDE. I’m assuming to expect even a smile, thank you etc costs extra too. Manager said they get many complaints regarding the seafood portion of the buffet, but overall management doesn’t allow for any type of refund or even partial credit refunds.

Stayed at the resort and came here for lunch. First off it’s $58.99 for LUNCH. The food was cold and not very fresh. A lot of options and the display was very beautiful. The lack of freshness really bothered me for the price. I couldn’t understand the guy at the register and didn’t know what the “tickets” are for. They are for one lobster and one plate of crab legs. Here’s the kicker. I DO NOT eat seafood. There is no discount for those who do not use the tickets. You pay to eat seafood. The desserts were the best part but still not very sweet. The gelato was top notch!!!
If you are looking for GOOD QUALITY food go down to Twenty Four 7!!

The Buffet at the Monarch Casino is awesome! From the service to the food to the atmosphere, they got it all down! The price is a bit steep at ~$60/person for dinner on the weekends, but the quality and variety of food is decent for the price.
First off, the queen of the buffet, or any buffet in my opinion, are the lobster tail and snow crab. When you pay, 2 redemption coupons are handed per person; one for a lobster tail and one for 2 snow crab clusters. Although this may seem like it is not much, it really is plenty of food unless the plan is to only eat lobster and snow crab (please refer to attached picture). The pho station is ok and the prime rib was very salty, but other than those two, everything else tasted great.
Service is top notch. Our server checked in on us and cleaned up our discarded lobster/crab remains very quickly and frequently. Make sure to tip your servers even at buffets!

Some of the food was absolutely amazing but others weren’t. I loved the cheesecake and mexican food but the pumpkin pie had a really weird texture and flavor. My cheeseburger was a burnt to a crisp. Overall the food was good. I dont know that it was worth the price tag though. If you eat seafood I’m sure its a must-have.

Brisket was extremely dry and seemed like it had been sitting out for a while. The Pho and everything in the Asian cuisine was extremely salty. Steak was alright, but nothing to brag about. The only thing I enjoyed was the Mac and cheese and the salmon.
Desert selection seemed decent.
I’ve been to the grill on the casino floor a few times and that place seems to be much better in food quality and service.

Went for Brunch on Sunday, the Buffet was good even for the price as there are not many breakfast options in Black Hawk. With Monarch rewards card you get $2 off each so it’s a little something. 21+ you get 2 mimosas each with your meal. Also includes soda, juice, coffee, water. Each person does get a ticket for one lobster tail and one crab legs. They did have garlic ginger crab legs unlimited for self serve on the buffet. The food was all kept fresh and at appropriate temperatures.
