The nostalgia of it all is cool, to see roasting pigs is an awesome site but that is the only thing that made me wait and get it off my bucket list. Now! let’s talk about the food, the roast pork was good, the rice with pigeon peas was over seasoned and boarder line dry and hard. Green bananas, dry, and the chicken was roasted to perfection but lay off the seasoning its heavy handed. Let’s not talk about the line and the number system, the worst. We were supposed to get our order by 11:30am (Being that we were #14) but by the time we got our food it was an hour and 15 minutes later. Limited choice of drinks and there were more family and friends before the customers. SMH, all and all great idea, horrible execution.

I live about 45 minutes away, I was hyped up to go, I’m sorry I have started paying more attention to reviews. I’m not driving 45 minutes to get the experience some of these people have described. I wish the owner good luck with his business. I know people can sabotage you on purpose but this many people? It seems like it’s hit or miss with this place, getting a good plate is like lottery. I don’t play lottery lol. I only judged the atmosphere because it looks really cool.

This place is amazing i come here every Friday and the food never fails . Its like going to dr but you don’t have to hop on a plane .
Also the staff is very friendly and are always giving samples.
Today i went and they were all out of pork, sold out but they still had some left that wasn’t enough to sell and they gave it to me for free.
I insisted in paying but they did not allow these people are amazing im not sure as to what some of these reviews here are about

You guys are horrible. Waited 2.5 hours for no food because my car got towed across the street. If the service wasn’t so slow I would have gotten back to it just fine. So ridiculous.

The food is good the pork and chicken roasted on charcoal is the best. Is no place in paterson that will do it,the taste is just like in dr the only bad thing is the waiting time but you have to understand what you getting is fresh that’s the reason of the waiting time and everything is gone in minutes.
