On a motorcycle trip,I spent the night at the Condon Hotel, awesome piece of history. I didn’t expect the great food, live music and friendly atmosphere in the saloon downstairs. Terrific burger and fries. What a gem where you may least expect it. Spend a night in the hotel and some time here, you won’t be sorry.
PS the BBQ sauce on the Western Big Buckin Burger is beyond awesome and even the fries are hand made fresh.

We visited on cinco de Mayo and found a packed house with live music on Cinco de Mayo. The drinks were good, the food was fine, and we listened to the music for several hours. A really fun experience out in Condon.

Don’t miss this oasis in the Eastern Oregon food desert. They actually had leafy greens that weren’t iceberg lettuce. Wow,, very happy to have stumbled on this place. Excellent service, nice vibes, good craft cocktails and microbrewery beers. Very reasonable considering the quality of the cuisine. I had a very filling Cobb salad and couldn’t resist going with the sweet potato fries too.

Inviting bar, attached to the Historic Hotel Condon.
Until this year, it’s always been a favorite during hunting season.
We visited 2 times during the 2022 hunting season. The live music was a treat, and the customers very friendly. The owner, was unfriendly and unapproachable. We even bussed our own tables on the first visit.
2nd visit. We put an order in and waited 90 minutes. They had not even started our order. We had a toddler in the group who only ordered corn dogs. When we talked to the owner, he did not apologize, only became defensive. Said to “cancel your order and leave”. That did not set well from a customer service perspective. On a positive note, He did comp our drinks. Understandably, the owner is short staffed, but customer service goes along way.
Unfortunately, they are the only restaurant in town.

Located inside of the Historic Hotel Condon. Most refined and ornate bar for 100 miles. Solid craft beer and cocktail menu, Painted Hills Beef, very good food. Live music on weekends. Great spot. Allows kids until 9pm.

Location, Ambiance, Service and Excellent Food! Derek Hiser, the manager, was a one-man, one-stop service provider Tuesday night at The Buckhorn Saloon. I had a fabulous crisp Caesar salad and plump, tasty teriyaki chicken wings. He managed the bar, all the cooking, and served our table all the while managing a full house of patrons. Instead of greasy fries, he had fresh carrots and celery garnish the plate. This place makes downtown Condon, Oregon a fun place!

Amazing restaurant! I loved the bartender as he was super kind and excellent at making drinks. My boyfriend and I ate the Buckhorn burger and pasta of the day. Both dishes were excellent and reasonably priced. Definitely worth stopping in!
