This restaurant is an absolute delight to be in. Atmosphere was fun, food was great, staff was very energetic & positive. Peg was our waitress and made the evening even better. Ordered a (bombay)gin & tonic and that was above and beyond; And a great price, ordered top sirloin and that was pretty darn good and the baked potato was amazing. Definitely I will repeat this when I’m out here again But I will try the rib eye or New York strip.

Having heard of the Buck Snort for quite a while, with my wife we finally decided to give it a go. It is on US 93 going North from Missoula.
The staff is very friendly and professional. They all had face covering.
We each ordered the sirloin, cooked medium rare.
It came as such.
Mine was on the tough side. Not properly tenderized.
Also, the knife they gave didn’t help. It had big serrations and was tearing the fibers of the meat. Not a pretty way to cut the meat. I would have preferred a straight edge knife. Cleaner cut for a Sirloin.
At one point, it was so tough, I had to stop eating it.
The baked potato was good. Even my wife’s garlic mash potato was good.
Mixed feelings. Not a good steak but the rest was ok.
Will not be back.

Very disappointed in both the service and food. It too 20 minutes to get a drink order in, 25 more minutes to receive the 2 drinks, and a full hour after ordering before our meals arrived. When we arrived, the restaurant had 3 servers on the floor and less than half the seats filled. Our server clearly avoided any attempts to get her attention and never refilled our water. I walked up to the bar to get a refill. Our steaks was oversalted and overcooked. Ribeyes should not be tough for $37. The mashed potatoes ironically had no salt in them. But there wasn’t a side vegetable on my plate, no bread either. When I asked for the manager, she offered a discount on our food and free drink tokens. I requested the meal just be taken off my tab. There are too many other steaks places at this price point with greater quality and service to give this place another try.

I was driving down Highway 93 when I saw The Buck Snort and immediately knew we were all going to dinner here! Ellie our server was awesome. Tonight is Prime Rib Sspecial night but have decided to go with the Rib Eye. Yummy!

Good food, horrible service, except the one older lady she was cool. Apparently you have to be a rich Californian to get decent service here, we definitely didn’t feel welcome.

It’s rare for me to post negatively about someone’s business however I think constructive criticism can be helpful. The start of our dinner was great, the drinks were good and they accommodated us outside. However as dinner progressed we had 4 different servers, 2 of which had to clarify what we ordered. The appetizer did not have much flavor and our server did not come to give us forks or napkins. It took 45 minutes for our food to arrive (which is totally understood when it’s busy however we were there at 430 before the dinner rush). When we received our entree my significant others Swiss and mushroom burger was well over cooked (asked for medium rare) and his mushrooms were raw. My dish, the bison blue burger, was also very well done (asked for medium) and the bottom bun was soggy.
It could have just been one of those days that things weren’t running smoothly given all of the great reviews. The servers individually were all very kind but given the circumstance we did not want to inconvenience them even further. We would be happy to try again in hopes it will be a different experience!
