When I got there, there was about a 20 minute wait but it was worth it. Everyone was friendly and the atmosphere was nice and clean. The food was really good. The portion size was nice making the prices worth it really I have no complaints. In fact my whole family said they’re going to come try it now that they’ve seen me. Try it. two thumbs up.

I recommend – Here’s why! Absolutely delicious food and huge portions. While you might be vibing to the music, don’t forget to eat your yummy plate while it’s hot. The Shrimp and grits plate was made extra tasty by adding cheese so don’t forget that. The Steak and Eggs was nicely complimented by steak sauce but flavor packed in no matter what. Go early as parking and restaurant space is a bit tight, but affordable delicious brunch is soon yours if you check them out. We plan to go again! 🙂

What others have said is true. There is limited parking and a wait time for one to be seated. So I parked across Kitty Hawk Dr at CVS. Signed in & told by receptionist there would be a 30 minute wait. After you get thru these two irritants, everything is roses- excellent service, food, and atmosphere. Decor is simple. The rooms were full of happy diners. A friendly & hospitable staff. My waffle breakfast was delicious. As I was checking out two nice gestures made my day. An anonymous stranger had already paid for my meal and the waitress offered me a cup of coffee to go.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. EVERYTHING was phenomenal!! The food was some of the best I have ever had. The fried chicken was hot, crispy, juicy and tender. Potatoes were cooked perfectly. My husband had the waffles and they were perfection. Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside. The service was amazing as well, it was incredibly busy but we never felt rushed and everyone was smiling and happy. The food came out quickly and the prices are super reasonable.

Nicholas was absolutely amazing as our waiter. He walked around many times to ask us if we were okay, if we needed anything, and just as friendly and polite as can be. I love the fact the owner walked around and greeted us. Definitely felt like family: the catfish and grits are to die for! So delicious. The atmosphere was truly calming and peaceful. I’ll be back for sure.

Ordered the eggs Benedict with a side of potato’s. I’m only giving the Benny eggs a 4 because the hollandaise sauce was a little too thick for my liking and I wish they had a salmon option lol , however the potatoes made up for that because they were delicious. It has a hint of something that I’ve never tasted before, usually places don’t care to make home style potato’s any different but this is what stood out the most to me. We also tried the chicken and waffles. Chicken was very well seasoned!

This place has been one of the best I’ve been to in San Antonio for breakfast/brunch meals! Seasoned perfectly, great portion sizes and everything. The shrimp and grits were amazing as well as the catfish! They’re a MUST TRY! Also our waitress, Jocelyn was by far very sociable, nice, and made the experience very pleasing!

We had excellent service, they offer a variety of menu items. I had a Fatty’s Burger, the burger was great, nice flavor, seems to have a sourdough bun or ciabatta bun not sure but it was very good, the burger was the perfect size, not too large, not too small. The burger came with fries but the fries were not great, a bit greasy, limp & a bit undercooked…kind of like skillet fried rather than deep fried as that’s the way they turn out whenever we skillet fry French fries but not sure how they’re cooked here, just an observation so I wasn’t very happy with the fries although the burger was great. My friend had the avocado toast with egg, she said it was very good as well as the service.
Restroom was clean, roomy & well stocked although the soap dispenser doesn’t put out very much soap at all, just barely a dab, so I’m not sure if it’s clogged or if it’s just the way it was designed. The metal chairs are a bit small for a larger bottom so just be aware of that. I only saw one booth and it was large so a larger group could possibly fit there. There was also a super cute coffee bar type area as well.
There are two separate entrances, one for take out/pick up and one for dining in. The parking lot is very small but has an adjacent parking lot that you could park in. There’s a raised, outdoor platform with several bench seats to sit on as well & a wheelchair ramp too.
Get there early as it gets packed very quickly at lunch time! You can order anything off the menu, breakfast or lunch either one. The owner, I believe it was, came around to each table to ask if we were satisfied with our food & service which was nice!
I’d love to try the catfish but I don’t like grits. Several menu items come with grits, would love to see an alternate side item for those who don’t like grits.
We’ll definitely consider revisiting another day. I hope the owners consider possibly getting larger chairs for us bigger folks, sometimes we just don’t fit in just any chair or if not, perhaps adding a couple more booths instead would be helpful. Definitely give them a try!
