We were visiting Kincardine and this was our hosts favourite restaurant in town.
And it’s independent which is important to us.
Easy to park, even along the street (Queen Street) and no charge (hey Collingwood!).
The restaurant has been around for a long time, so the place is showing some wear and tear. Or maybe some charm, yes, more on the charm side of the ledger.
You can sit inside but they have a great patio with a view of Lake Huron outside.
The host and waitress were very helpful and prompt with their service.
The food matched the price point.
The menu has something for everyone.
We had to ask to have the music (which were good tunes) because we couldn’t carry a conversation.
They politely did.
We would definitely go back when we are in Kincardine, and trust me, we are returning to Kincardine!

This is one of the nice restaurants in Kincardine with a great patio. We visited during their 25 years anniversary and there was live music in the patio. We really liked the service there. Expect a delay during the busy hours but the food is delicious. We tried their Asian Chicken bites with curry aioli which was really delicious. The Chicken mango salad was good. The Sante Fe Cajun Prawn Bowl was disappointing

You’ll definitely expect to wait on the weekend – especially when other local restaurants are closed on a Sunday at dinner.
You can’t go wrong with the patio by the water.
Everyone is happy to be there and you’ll often catch people trying to catch a glimpse of other table’s food at the staff brings it out.
Expect to get sassed right back by some waitresses if you give them a hard time (as it should be).
I’d be shocked if anything on the menu was not to your liking.
Locals and tourists, score a reservation. Go for the food and stay for the views.
You’ll definitely be leaving full.

Dinning in this place is 5 star cross the board all day!!! Take out though is a whole different story. They dont finish preparing to go meals, expect paying customers to assemble and reheat foods at home without telling them when the food is ordered. All the while still charging same prices as dine in. If I order food I expect to be able to eat it when I leave the restaurant with the same quality as dine in. Poutine should not be cheese, gravy (enough for like 10 fries) and fries separate to assemble when cold. So I just paid like $12 for cold fries with greasy cheese curds and a bit of gravy on the side. French onion soup was the same. Not ready to eat when I wanted/expected. Needed a stove myself. This needs to be fixed. At least TELL THE CUSTOMERS and dont charge as much as dine in for less quality food.

Me and my boyfriend were seated right away and got our food/drinks impressively quick considering how busy it was on the patio. Our server Morgan was super kind and attentive and made sure we were taken care of 🙂 definitely recommend this place if travelling to kincardine

Very disappointed. Got takeout, chicken madeira fettuccine. The chicken was under-seasoned and overcooked. Ended up feeding it to the crows outside my motel.
The takeout container is cardboard. Yay for the environment but you cant reheat with a microwave.
Chocolate cake slice had a small pool of water under it? Perhaps previously frozen but not quite thawed.
If all that wasn’t bad enough, when i went to pay the “typical” tip screen was backwards. You know, “press 1 for 15%, 2 for 20%”, etc. Nope! Press 1 for 25%, 2 for 20%”, etc. Sneaky as it preys on peoples muscle memory.
Look, it has good reviews hut i think it’s eat in only and watch your tipping amount when you pay. I will never order takeout from here again. Takeout Buyers beware. The dish you see, plus a slice of cake and tip was over $50!

Stopped in several weeks ago while enjoying the Lake Huron coast — the service was great, the food was great, and being on the back patio, the view was great! I would recommend this place.

Great place! Big parking, great food (do try the fish’n chips made with salt and vinegar chips!). The salmon was to die for. The view on the lake and a special thanks to Malcom, what a great service we had! Anyway, go there, you won’t regret it!

I cannot say enough positive things about Kelly and her team. They worked with us to host a surprise birthday party, planned from afar. Kelly was responsive to any questions and went over and above to help make it a wonderful evening. The service from her team was impeccable. Drinks flowed, the food was beautiful presented and plentiful; everyone enjoyed themselves immensely.
