The Brownsville Deli (under new ownership) is an absolute gem! The sandwiches are out of this world—packed with fresh, flavorful ingredients and served on bread that’s both delicious and clearly baked fresh, some in house. Their beer and wine selection is thoughtfully curated and adds a lovely touch to the experience.
What really sets this place apart is the atmosphere. The owners are incredibly welcoming and have created a space that feels open, friendly, and built for community. You can tell they’ve poured heart into every detail, and the staff reflects that same warmth and commitment to great service.
It’s the kind of spot you stumble upon and instantly know you’ll be coming back to again and again.

It is so cute! Staff made us feel so welcome and treated us so very kindly. We had tomato soup and clam chowder as well as all 3 of the desserts – y’all, go get you some! It’s really, really good! Next time we come back, we’ll try some sandwiches. They also have beer and cider on tap as well as canned drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Coffee is $1. Thank you for feeding us!

I came in for a sandwich, got smothered baked potatoes instead! My wife and I ordered the ribeye and grilled onion potato and the chili cheese potato. First of all, the potatoes were PERFECTLY cooked and seasoned. The steak was delicious but a little dry. The dryness didn’t matter due to the wonderful cheese sauce they put as a base layer for all the potatoes. (9/10) The chili cheese potato (w/ optional jalapeños and onions) was also great. Without the jalapeños, the chili still had a lil kick. (8/10) We also got a cup of the (10/10) mac n cheese. Ive never had a better mac n cheese …. ANYWHERE.

Came for a sandwich but im a sucker for a potato. The deli has new items of topped baked potatoes. I tried the steak and the chili, got a small side of Mac to try. The mac was creamy with a hint smoked cheddar in it. The base of the potatoes has a mixture of cheeses, cream cheese and sweet hot peppers. I liked the the base shined through on the steak potato. The chili was good to with a little kick to it with poblanos. Too full to try dessert but they looked good too. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely be back. Update I tried the cranberry oatmeal cookie with cream cheese frosting….phenomenal!

Food was warm, dessert cookie was the star of the show. Sweet tea was good, wasn’t overly sweet which is nice. Atmosphere was good and relaxed for a busy Veterans Day. Wish they had more vegetarian options. Also was very expensive. Had to pay per thing instead of drink and chips included. Otherwise was nice.

Stopped by the Brownsville Deli for the first time today and it definitely won’t be my last! Food was really good and everyone was super friendly. I split a beefster sandwich with my grandpa and got a cup of mac and cheese on the side. Both were delicious. Highly recommend to stop by if you’re in the area!

I was pleasantly surprised at the staff attentiveness and the simple menu. My order was made quickly and well. I ordered a Rueben sandwich. They used good tasting pastrami and a home made Russian. I could taste a hint of horseradish but well balanced. The rye bread was really good too. Thank you ladies for your great service. We will be back.

Our little marina and community has been needing the TLC of Matt and Amy and their incredible team. The food is simple but homemade in house and tasty. Like what your neighbor or grandma would serve up if you stopped by for lunch or a snack. The wine selection is curated and thoughtful. It’s tidy and cozy in colder months and chill with outdoor seating in the warmer months. So glad we have this space nearby.

Omg everything was SO good! We got the reuben, beefster, mac and cheese, and the pretzel. It also came with pickles.
Best reuben and mac and cheese I’ve ever had. It’s all homemade and we just highly recommend this place.
We got take out and service was fast and packaged well. They were very friendly and the atmosphere was perfect if you plan to dine in.
