Great food, excellent menu, friendly staff!! Bethany makes THE BEST SOUPS, today we had the jalepeno corn chowder & seafood bisque OMG let me tell you those were delicious!! After eating our soup we were full & didn’t need another bite but…. Our dinners arrived. I ordered the Italian crusted baked fish & my husband got the fish sandwich! All the food was extremely hot & flavorful. We have never had a bad meal here, salads, burgers, fish, flatbreads with such a large menu there is something for everyone. I highly recommend The Brookside, if you haven’t been here yet you are really missing out!!

The Brookside may be a bit of a drive for some of us but it’s totally worth a relaxing drive through the country. We started out with the Pickel Chips. You have to try them, they’re hot, the breading doesn’t all fall off, and so delicious! I tried the Philly Cheesesteak Soup – just amazing with big chunks of real steak! My wife had the Buffalo Wing Flatbread. She let me try a piece – delicious with plenty leftover to take home. I had the Beef Burrito packed solid with delicious beef, taco chips on the side with all the fixings. The Brookside is totally worth the trip & while you’re in town, stop in at Artisan Alley – a very unique gift shop with mostly home crafted gifts! We’ll be back!

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. The staff is wonderful. The food is great and I love the ambience. Everything is very clean and tidy. It’s hard to find a good restaurant nowadays but this place I would definitely recommend!! We met a sweet girl there as well. She was so friendly and had a great personality.. this girl named Jessica that works there and she was also noticeably very hard-working. If there were 10 stars available I would give it 10 stars.

First time being here after hearing very good things. Food wasn’t bad but it’s nothing to rave about. I ordered the beer batter fish fry; with coleslaw and Mac and cheese. While everything is homemade the slaw was good but the Mac was not cooked all the way and the noodles were still hard. Other people ordered the lobster stuffed haddock and shrimp, two cheeseburgers. We also started with fried cauliflower bites and pretzels for the appetizer. Again everything was not bad but it’s not a place that I would just say let’s go to the brookside. If you are in the area check it out it maybe your new favorite place.

They have a wonderful flight of soups! It is hard to find places that have homemade soups that are tasty! They offer about 6 different types of soups to pick from. They have a tasty baguette for an upcharge but well worth it! They are very friendly and drinks are very good as well! My husband loves the burgers too! My new favorite restaurant! I will be back!

Great food. I got chicken dinners and fries the first time I went, then got the chicken Caesar salad this time and it was the best one I’ve ever had.
I came back a few weeks later and we got the steak nachos as an appetizer along with the Mac n cheese bites. Both were delicious. The only problem we had was 45 minutes to get our main entrees and the service was not good. Everybody was nice tho, and the host tried hard as well. It was a Wednesday I believe.

Love what they’ve done with this place. Had no idea they turned it into such a nice restaurant inside. Tons of menu options, friendly staff, food was good. Clean, nice atmosphere. Gluten free options. Nice little patio. Will return.

This is my new favorite restaurant. Not only was the food excellent but also the service. They have an excellent amount of choices too. The fish frys are big and I saw about 100 go out for take out while I was there.
The pork nachos appetizer is awesome. I had the 1/2 LB black & blue burger with a side of Mac n cheese. All i can say is wow. My wife had the turkey club wrap with sweet potato fries. She said it was the best she’s had.
Leaving, I was not only full but happy to see an active restaurant with a cozy but modern feel to it. You won’t leave disappointed. I can’t wait to try more items as we go back.

I visited this restaurant while on vacation back in August of 2023. The food was great and the service was excellent. It’s a cozy and welcoming place and definitely worth trying if you’re in the area.
One thing I discovered is that the area the Airbnb was in did not have many food options around it so finding The Brookside was a wonderful sight to see!
