I’ve been meaning to check this place out for years and finally went for the first time a couple weeks ago for Wine Down Wednesday. The glasses of wine were half off. Hailey had a wonderful personality and made me feel welcomed as soon as I sat at the bar. She kept a smile and was very attentive. I wasn’t super hungry, but needed something on my stomach so Hailey recommended the fried okra which came out fresh and hot. The owner introduced himself to me and invited me back for Bike Night on Tuesdays. He seemed like a nice guy. The atmosphere was laid back and the place just has a nice, neighborly vibe. I’ll be back for more wine, to chill on the patio, and to check out the peel and eat shrimp!

Be careful stopping by because the time flies making friends and chatting! Neighborhood laid back vibes especially on the patio. The food is yummy. I don’t eat oysters but everyone else says they’re the best! Lexi is always here, she stays on top of what you need and is so friendly, she’ll go out of her way to take care of you and make sure you have a great visit.

My husband and I have been regulars at this restaurant and usually enjoy the welcoming atmosphere, especially the friendly staff at the front. However, our recent visit on a Friday around lunch time was deeply disappointing. When we arrived, no one greeted us. We received strange looks from people sitting on the patio, whom we initially assumed were customers. A man at the bar was eating, and staff members were walking back and forth from the kitchen to the patio without acknowledging us.
We sat at a table and waited for 10 minutes. still no greeting and no service. It became clear that the people we thought were patrons were actually employees, as they eventually went behind the bar. They continued to ignore us entirely. It’s worth noting that we were the only people of color in the restaurant during this time, which made the lack of acknowledgement feel even more uncomfortable.
This experience was a stark contrast to the service we’ve received in the past, and it left us feeling unwelcome and unseen.

We had Oysters Rockefeller ( the baked oysters) and the fish and chips( cod). They had a bar with a great beer, and wine selection, and it was very clean. Our server was sweet and attentive. This is no frills bar food, and you are 200 miles inland. The shrimp boats are not bringing in a fresh catch daily. You can expect the selections to be frozen, but they were cooked very well. It surpassed my expectations. We will go back!

We love stopping in for Bayou oysters on any given day. We have yet to be disappointed. Delicious Wings and fries on the side aren’t a bad choice either. Laid back ambiance in the cut.

Hubby and I was looking for an Oyster spot close to home and we stumbled upon this spot. Great Food, the Oysters are large and delicious. The wings are fried perfectly. It’s a quite hole in the wall which are the best places if you ask us. We’ll be back.

Cool little local restaurant and bar. The baked oysters and gumbo are my favorite. Sit back outside on the patio or inside they usually have a dj or a live guitarist
