We had a fantastic experience at The Bricks in Ybor City! The atmosphere was relaxing, and the service is top-notch. We tried the Tuna Nachos, which were bursting with flavor, and finished with their delicious homemade ice. Highly recommend this spot for anyone seeking a great meal in a cozy setting!

Emma helped me download a parking app saving me from a parking ticket. Then she suggested and served me the the best vegetarian pressed sandwich I’ve ever eaten. The music was rockin’ and the place was immaculate. I’ll definitely be back. Thanks Emma!

It’s a really nice looking restaurant. Not over priced. They list ‘coffee’ along with a couple other offerings over the entrance. Nevertheless the wait staff aren’t necessarily baristas. Don’t expect coffee shop level coffee expertise.

While in town for the football game on Sunday, September 21st around 6:00 p.m. my husband and I stopped in for a quick bite at The Bricks. We grabbed two seats at the bar and were served by Server 2020—unfortunately, he never introduced himself, so we weren’t able to catch his name. We started with a Moscow Mule for me and a beer for my husband. I ordered the Bricks Salad with added chicken, and my husband chose the Chicken Standard Sandwich.

Everything seemed fine at first, but things took a turn when our meals arrived. Both dishes were served with dark meat chicken, which was unexpected and disappointing. As Server 2020 brought the plates from the kitchen, another server glanced at them and his facial expression said it all—he clearly didn’t approve. That moment felt unsettling, almost as if we were being served something subpar without explanation. We mentioned to the bartender that we’ve ordered these dishes at other restaurants and they’ve always come with white meat chicken breast. His response? “We are not like any other restaurant. You should have asked if we serve it with white meat. It is what it is.” That dismissive attitude was appalling. We asked for the bill for our drinks and left.

Bottom line: Most customers reasonably expect white meat when ordering chicken dishes, especially salads and sandwiches. If The Bricks chooses to do things differently, it’s their responsibility to inform guests upfront—not shame them after the fact. For these reasons, I strongly advise others to avoid The Bricks. Go somewhere you’ll be treated with dignity, respect, and transparency.

The Bricks is a classic bar‑restaurant, the kind of place where you can settle in with small bites, a good beer or a cocktail, and feel like you’ve found an easy rhythm in the middle of Ybor. This was our third stop of the evening and a genuinely pleasant one, helped along by Andrea, who was friendly, upbeat and made the visit feel even more relaxed.

We ordered beers and their roasted hummus, which came with thin‑sliced cucumbers and carrots. When one of my friends mentioned that he’s allergic to carrots (yes, really), Andrea didn’t hesitate. She brought out a basket of tortilla chips so he could enjoy the hummus without worry, and the rest of us made sure the carrots stayed far from the shared plate. It was a small gesture, but it added a nice touch of hospitality.

The whole place has an easygoing vibe, the kind that makes you want to linger a little longer, and its spot right on the main drag of Ybor makes it an ideal pause point on a walking tour. It’s a dependable, welcoming stop that’s well worth including.

My boyfriend and I tried this place for the first time and absolutely fell in love with it! Kyle was our bartender/server and we could not have been luckier to have him! He made excellent suggestions, was very knowledgeable on the history of different drinks, and at the end of our visit we even had him make us a drink with his own twist on it! It turned out sooo good! Josh was also super friendly, and Devin and Marley make the best food! The menu is the perfect size with super unique food selections, so that was really nice to see too. We will definitely be back and are so glad we found this place!

The food and drinks were great! Our server was very kind and fast. He came to our table of 6 people multiple times asking if we like the food and checking if we needed anything. Tacos & bowls are delicious! The place opens late and it has tables available. It’s not just a bar.

We stopped in for a couple drinks and dessert, Angela was very friendly. I absolutely loved the hibiscus tea margarita. We ordered the s’mores dessert(brownie was slightly dry), the bruleed marshmallow was my favorite part then had a drizzle of cookie butter, yummy. The strawberry shortcake was tasty w/ grand mariner whipped cream. I recommend stopping in.
