Operating since 1889, this landmark saloon offers brews, pub grub & live music in cheery surrounds.

I had dinner at The Brick Saloon last Friday. I ordered the Brick Burger (jalapeños, provolone, applewood-smoked bacon, homemade guacamole, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle) with the rosemary shoestring fries and the Speelyi Beach Cooler mocktail (pineapple, lime, pandan, coconut cream, and sparkling coconut water).
The burger was very tasty (and massive) and all the ingredients were very fresh. I was pleasantly surprised that they used fresh jalapeños instead of pickled ones. The shoestring fries are always a favorite of mine: perfectly seasoned and served in such a generous portion that I can never finish them all by myself.
The Speelyi Beach Cooler mocktail was super refreshing and really hit the spot. The flavor combination was delightful, and I love that The Brick Saloon offers several mocktail options for non-drinkers.
The service is always good, even on busy nights, and the atmosphere is even better. I highly recommend stopping by for lunch or dinner during the winter when they have the big wood stove going. Every time they stoke the fire, the whole building smells like a campfire, and it feels incredibly cozy, warm, and inviting—like sitting in a mountain cabin. That’s easily my favorite part of eating here.

If you like Northern Exposure you must come to The Brick. It is so fun to be in Roslyn and see all the sites related to the show. This one and the mural down the street are the most recognizable. On top of the fun of being in the building used for all the exterior shots, the food and service were great. The Reuben is huge as are the burgers. Try the rosemary fries!

Really enjoyed the food, it was delicious, and the portion size was quite generous. The ambiance was pleasant, and the service was good as well.

I always love coming to the Brick. It’s unique and has a fun vibe. Most of the time the service is good, as is the food! I was surprised when I ordered a large Caesar for $13.99 and it came in a small bowl, but they did add some toasted bread which was a bonus, so I didn’t go home hungry. My sister ordered the burger with a salad which was great! And her salad was larger . Great selection of beers and drinks!

This place was surprisingly good. The main Saloon area had a very cool ambience—an enormous furnace,well-maintained rustic wooden furniture, and a gaming area. I sat in the family area with my kids, which was fine.
Maybe it’s because we had just finished snowshoeing, but the food was impressively delicious. Fantastic burgers, tasty fries, and one of the best Mexican soups (Posole) I’ve ever had. I didn’t expect that. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in the area.

We took a detour off I 90 for a late lunch on our travels. Was well worth it. We had the best onion rings we have had in along time. So crispy & plentiful. Ordered their chicken tenders w/ fries ( crispy) & a side of coleslaw. Also ordered their Roslyn salad. It was a romaine salad w/ dried Cherie’s, crisp apple, blue cheese crumble, and cubes grilled chicken. With your choice of dressing. It was delicious savory & sweet and very filling. It was a Tuesday afternoon so not busy but nice atmosphere. The drink menu was interesting. The old bar is like stepping back in time. The wood stove made it cozy. The step up bar is beautiful & still has the spit toon trough .

On our way home, we stopped by for lunch. I guess it was a bad idea. The kitchen is not used to the volume and they were backed up for more than 30 minutes. Im assuming the food is decent and since the saloon was filmed for the show Northern Exposure, its has a great feel. It is what it is when places become touristy but not set up for quick bites. Food in the town area was very good. If you haven’t seen a deer, check my pic. 🙂

What can I say about the Brick? It is the quintessential, old school saloon – it has everything one could wish for and in a classic setting!
Great atmosphere, food is excellent, drinks menu amazing and everything to the best quality. Pool tables and sports on TV if you want it, comfortable place for drinks and/or food (including a quieter, set-off restaurant area), and a great view from the front over the town’s main streets. Fancy live music? There’s that too, on the weekends!
The staff are friendly, super efficient, and all around brilliant! Special shout out to Scotty, Franny, and Matty in particular – we frequented the establishment for a few days in a row and they were just fantastic! Made our stay in town truly pleasant and memorable.

Really cool historic place— loved reading all about its history. Taco Tuesday here is the best, and the drinks + food are very reasonably priced anytime, especially compared to the other side of the mountains. The theater area in the back is really cool too, I hear they have live music there sometimes.
