From the moment we walked, this place was pure Southern hospitality niceness. The coffee and food was good. My mom got breakfast tacos and she enjoyed them. I received an omelet with hash browns and jalapeno toast. It was delicious. We were checked on frequently.

It was a great breakfast place! Freshly made chicken fried steak. Battered there. The hash browns were fresh not frozen. Tasted amazing. Jalapeño toast was tasty. Definitely recommend!

I stumbled upon this little diner when searching for a breakfast restaurant. It is much quieter than the Waffle House and the food was good. The service was excellent and this is a restaurant that I would dine with again when in the area.

Tucked into a random parking lot in Spring is the most unassuming breakfast place we’ve seen to date. Appropriately named ‘The Breakfast Place’, the restaurant is serving up delicious, filling, and cheap food. We have come here quite a few times when visiting family and always go out of our way to stop by. The setting is quant and cozy and the service is downright fantastic. Every time you enter you are greeted with a big smile and beaming attitude that make you feel like you’re a long lost family member or you just returned a wallet with a thousand bucks in it. The menu is pretty straightforward and standard with a few country breakfast options sprinkled in.

We ordered pretty quick and got our food before we even had a chance to get hungry. We got the country fried steak with eggs, white toast and hash browns plus an order of the big stack pancakes with bacon. The pancakes are good, better than chain breakfast spots, and the bacon is good as well. The country fried steak was delicious, although a bit tough in a few spots with a delicious country gravy on top. The toast, hash browns, and eggs were also good. We’ve ordered a lot of other dishes from here in the past but don’t have photos of them unfortunately, but they were certainly good enough to have us coming back. We ordered some coffee and in a testament to the service never made it past halfway drank, not once.

Look, the food here is pretty good. We see a lot of reviews here ragging on the food and let’s be very honest, if you’re coming here looking to find out the reason why your 7th grade boyfriend dumped you, you’re not gonna find it and you look pretty dumb for expecting to. This is a straight up mom and pop southern diner, a good one at that. The prices are cheap (or maybe we’re just from Austin), the service is good, and the workers truly seem to care. For the value it offers, alongside the food and service, we highly recommend stopping by The Breakfast Place.

Took my wife here for Mother’s Day. We got a table right away, which was unexpected. It looked like a lot of tables had just been sat before we got there. It took a while for our waitress to come by. I ordered the ribeye and eggs with a side of bacon. My wife had the french toast. Ribeye was a little chewy, but tasted good. The hash browns had a great potato flavor, but weren’t very crispy. Side of bacon for $6.50 was underwhelming. All in all a good experience. We might have to go back and try their lunch offerings some time.

I had the cinnamon French toast with ham and bacon. It was just like my momma made it!

After they shutdown woodlands one, I had to drive down to this location. The food was similar but the service and buzz is little damper. Overall as always great place to eat omelette and French toasts.

I don’t really care understand what all the 5 star reviews are about. The food was very average at best, I feel I could have made a better breakfast at home for $15, instead of the $30 I just paid for this one. Hell even waffle house would have been better, and cheaper, than this place. It might be my fault though, because they charge by THE GLASS of chocolate milk. $5 for one glass is absolutely insane. I thought if you get one glass, free refills, no? You can buy a gallon of chocolate milk from HEB for what, $4? It’s crazy. And $18 for 2 eggs, toast, 2 pancakes, a piece of sausage, ham and bacon that all taste like they’ve been cooked in the same old grease? Only thing good about this place was the servers, they were attentive. I’d recommend finding somewhere else to spend $25 per person for breakfast
