Great atmosphere, fun things to look at and we appreciated the music/music videos (however it cut out A LOT, maybe poor WiFi?). The food all looked amazing and was hard to decide what to try! What we did get was good even though the waitress put the order in, incorrectly, so I couldn’t fully eat my burrito. Sadly, she wasn’t very friendly either. It was our first time here and we were impressed by the food and atmosphere. Maybe if we had a different server that got our order correct and seemed to like her job that would have made our experience exceptional. We loved the art work and vintage feel! It was hard not to notice the sheets of dust on the massive art work pieces above our heads though, I honestly don’t know how they would clean them though….
If they sold their syrup by the bottle I would certainly purchase it, it was probably the best we’ve ever had.
With that said they charge a percentage to use a credit card. I’m seeing this more and more and get frustrated that it isn’t ever advertised on the door when you walk in because it should be. I am getting to the point I will no longer go to places that have hidden fees like this anymore.

We had an amazing morning breakfast to start the New Year off! It was our daughter in law’s 21st birthday and our server, Kelly brought her first alcohol shot to celebrate! Kelly was awesome! She was cheerful and brought us everything we needed! Highly recommend The Breakfast Club!!

Breakfast shots and the best loaded Bloody Marys (yes there’s shrimp). Our server Kelli knows what she’s doing and knows how to create that perfect ambience. Service I wish I could give 8/5 stars.

Pack ’em in, drown ’em out, fill ’em up, and check ’em out. That seems to be the business plan for The Breakfast Club, where they squeeze you into tight seating spaces & amp up the music video volume & eventually deliver your overwhelmingly large breakfast choices at extremely inflated prices. Our waitress was very friendly, but as our stay stretched out waiting for food she became overwhelmed with her share of tables to the point of us trying to flag down other staff members to wrap up our meals & transaction. The ambient noise bordered on deafening, and the tiny tables required a juggling act to accommodate our plates once they finally arrived.
Our food was very good, esp. the Breakfast Corn Dogs, and our Blueberry & Cream and Raspberry Cheesecake Pancakes were high quality with bright flavors. So if you want to try TBC, we’d recommend carryouts so you can skip the crowding & the audible assault & the chaotic service.

I was excited to try this place. As a longtime vegetarian of 15+ years, I haven’t gotten to eat biscuits and gravy in a while. The guilt free b&g was so good. I also really wanted to try the French toast. Either the banana foster or the Dutch apple. But I knew that would’ve too much food so I asked for a single piece of French toast with the bourbon caramel on the side. The kitchen went way above and made it a mini foster with the banana slices and nut on the side too!!! That caramel … oh that was so yummy. The French toast itself wasn’t very sweet but when pair with the caramel was perfect. As this is vacation I decided to go ahead and do the mimosas flight. It you are considering it if you go here… do it! (They also offer a non-alcoholic flight which is awesome).

Came to The Breakfast Club in West Des Moines to celebrate my friend’s birthday. I had the shrimp & grits—the grits were really good, but I wish there were a few more shrimp. The mimosa flights were definitely the highlight. Overall, a fun spot for a birthday brunch with great drinks and solid food.

Ella was a wonderful waitress! The plates were cleared off quickly and the food was out in record time. Everything was delicious! Thanks to Ella I got the perfect dish for me!!! Everyone should try the bacon avocado bagel.
