Lots of seating with one room for dining and another with a bar plus additional outdoor seating. Plenty of parking in the back. Although known for their chicken the burger and the cod dinner were very good. Cole slaw was excellent and served before the meal. Full bar plus beer and wine.

I had to be in the area on some business, and went here on the recommendation of a friend. The chicken was everything that people rave about. The coleslaw that came with it, along with the mashed potatoes and gravy were extremely tasty. Best. Chicken. EVER! When you hear people rave about a place you set your expectations high. Well the Brass Rail did not disappoint!! We have been trying to get here for a while now and finally found ourselves in the cities for the weekend and decided to make the extra 50 minute drive north just for the chicken and are SO glad we did! It was juicy, filled with flavor, hot, well breaded without being over-breaded and spiced to perfection! The mashed potatoes and gravy were delicious and like eating grandma’s comfort food. Our server was sweet, friendly and provided exceptional service. Take the drive – you won’t be sorry!

Been coming here for 28 years Loved it as much today as I have any other time we have stopped. The chicken is fabulous crispy skin well done meat hot as heck! Definitely not dried out very juicy! The coleslaw is the perfect combination of a little bit of vinegar and sugar in the creamy sauce. Mashed potatoes are real mashed potatoes not out of a bag. And the gravy is so good! It was packed but we got very good service. Had to come home with most of our meal and we will enjoy it again! Don’t forget to add extra coleslaw before you go home. Always a 10 out of 10!

Looking for a good fried chicken spot and was told about the Brass Rail in the very small community of Grandy listed right on Hwy 65. Little place that locals come to for various activities like bingo in the evening. If you’re looking for digging into some good fried chicken and fixings this will be a spot to visit. If looking for amenities and quiet probably not for you. Had the four piece fried chicken all white dinner which was very tasty. As a side had which amounted to basically a bowl of mashed potatoes and gravy which was great. Almost too much! Everyone had some of their creamy coleslaw which was a good compliment to our meal. You even got a choice of either Coke or Pepsi products which you don’t see often. Parking is right on a fairly busy highway so please be aware if this fact. Handicapped access may be a little tight due to how tight tables are packed together in this facility.

This place was voted best broasted chicken on the news station and I can see why. The chicken is definitely worth the drive from the cities. I highly recommend it with the homemade buffalo sauce if you like spicy.

Brass Rail absolutely lives up to the hype! Their broasted chicken is hands-down some of the best you’ll ever taste—perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside. The broasted potatoes are incredible too, golden and seasoned just right. And the coleslaw? Fresh, creamy, and the perfect side to round out the meal.

Food served in plastic baskets, I’d rather have a ceramic/glass plate. Otherwise decent food. Bingo was fun my friend won 200 on a cover-all.
