Delicious burgers, was pleasantly surprised. Good and unique seasoning. The fries were golden and crispy, cooked perfectly. The couple next to us ordered the chicken strips and we’re taking about how good they were too.
Afterwords we ordered the Moose Trap ice cream which was also tasty. If you’re hungry and looking for a bite to eat before continuing your adventure, drop by this place that staff are all friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic friendly service a must eat place in hill city. Cheaper than most all of the other places and tastes really good. All of their food is good but I would have to say that the cheese steak and the cheese curds were soooooo good. Like my mouth was watering. I didn’t get a picture of the cheese steak because it was gone in a matter of minutes.

My chicken sandwich was ok. My husband said that the buffalo dog was good.

I would say one of the better places to eat in Hill City, excellent burgers and sides, and of course desserts! TIP: Definitely try the cheese curds sometime.

Gas station quality food at steak house pricing. Was expecting some excellent food after seeing the price, but was extremely disappointed. Burger tasted like a soy burger. Portions were small. Even at half the price I’d still be upset to pay that much for the quality. Much better options in town.

We had a great visit to the Boxcar Eats and Treats. The bison burger was excellent, and was way better than what we had at Halley’s West in Keystone. Very friendly staff and clean restaurant.
