⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Bounty – an unforgettable dining experience

The Bounty beachside restaurant is, quite simply, exceptional and one of the highlights of our entire trip. Set right on the beach, this restaurant offers the perfect combination of incredible food, stunning surroundings, and outstanding service.

Breakfast at The Bounty is on another level. You are seated at your table and then presented with an impressive spread of beautifully prepared dishes brought directly to you. The variety is fantastic, with a mix of fresh fruit, pastries, breads, hot options, and cooked-to-order items. Everything is fresh, high quality, and presented perfectly — it genuinely feels like a luxury dining experience rather than a standard hotel breakfast. It’s the kind of breakfast you look forward to the night before.

Lunch is equally enjoyable, offering a relaxed atmosphere with delicious food and a great menu selection. Whether you’re stopping by after a morning at the beach or pool, or just want to take your time and enjoy the views, it’s the perfect spot. The quality of the food remains consistently high, and the service is attentive without ever feeling rushed.

Evening dining at The Bounty is where the restaurant truly becomes magical. As the sun sets, the restaurant comes alive with fire heaters, soft lighting, the sound of the waves crashing nearby, and a cool sea breeze. The setting is romantic, calm, and beautifully atmospheric. Every evening meal we had here was outstanding — expertly cooked, full of flavour, and presented to a very high standard. Dining with the ocean right in front of you makes the experience feel incredibly special.

What really sets The Bounty apart, however, is the staff. Every single member of the team was warm, friendly, and genuinely happy to welcome us each time we visited. A special shout-out goes to Sten, Jerry, Claudia, Lurdes, Elton, and Yuran, who went above and beyond to make every visit memorable. Their friendliness, professionalism, and attention to detail made us feel truly valued, and they are a real credit to the restaurant.

We enjoyed The Bounty so much that we ate here many times during our stay — and every single visit was flawless. From breakfast to dinner, the atmosphere, food, and service were consistently outstanding.

If you’re staying nearby or even just visiting the area, The Bounty is an absolute must. A truly brilliant restaurant and an experience we won’t forget.

Beautiful view – awful food! Our Hotel (Dunas de Sal – highly recommend) is right next to the Hilton and we walked past this location everyday on our way to the dedicated beach beds – it’s beautifully located, elegant designed and screams fine dining – so we accepted the much higher cost (for cap verdien standards) and went here for a special night .. I wish we hadn’t.
1. we had to pay roughly 70€ deposit because we are not from the hotel
We arrived – wanted to order the papaya prawn salad as a starter and the Octopus with Canarian sauce – their specialty: both not available. Okay, that happens but instead of suggesting an alternative the waiter just stood there waiting for us to find something else. So we settled for the tuna salad as a starter, the prawn risotto and the seafood pasta as our mains.
We ordered two glasses of Portuguese wine and received 2 glasses of their cap verdien Cha without any explanation or apology. The wine was nice (don’t get me wrong) but not what we ordered.
The starter was nice (hence the second star) fresh tasting tuna with fleshtomatoes, potatoes and onion. I liked this interpretation of tuna salad with Jogurt dressing.
The main courses were both awful and none of us finished them. The risotto was tasteless and there was an unusual amount of Parmesan on the dish (odd for a seafood dish anyways) – the seafood pasta was overcooked at best and the seafood was either not fresh or just cooked into lumps of undefinable, chewy masses.
We wanted to try the mango cheesecake but were so put off that we asked for the bill and left.
The waiter, who cleared the full plated did not even bother asking whether everything was alright (clearly it wasn’t)
We paid 70€ and went home very disappointed. There are so many better, local restaurants where you can eat for half the price and at least it’s fresh and tasty.
I‘m a bit shocked – it’s a Hilton after all!!

Good location but slow service, food takes as average 45 minutes. Maybe you can order at 12 go to the beach, have a nap and by 1-2pm basic food will be served… prices are like London or Paris; filtered water 0,5L 4€, juice 6€, disgusting coffee 4€… very unfortunate

A really cool restaurant on the beach related to the Hilton. The food is delicious, big portions, the service super friendly, the atmosphere/vibe great. A bit more expensive than the rest of the places I’ve been to, but I can see why.

I have been here several times. Walking the beach and stop by to take a drink, because the wiev is spectacular. And the restaurant has a classy look that I like. But the pricing and service…. where to begin… the pricing is way to much, it is like an expensive country in europe. And knowing the salary on this island it is impossible to understand hiw they can charge this price when the people working is paid that little. Suppose there is an owner who makes millions and millions on this place. And the service…. like the rest of this island. Lacking. They litteraly breed no stress. Everyhing takes soooooo long. You wait and wait and wait, and never recieve any service. Even if you actually see that they have noticed you. I love this island, and also this place because of its location and the vibe of high end. Rare to get that in this island, when not inside a hotel complex. Will I be back. Yes. But please do something about pricing and service. For that kind of money one would most certainly expect high qualury service. And there is none, what so ever.

Food and drink choices were great – good quantity and quality -,so pretty much a perfect meal. My personal qualms were detailed – next time a 5 star across all areas – this place has got IT!

The location is fantastic and the ambiance is awesome. We were so, so excited to go there.

Food itself was great but the biggest problem was my allergies. I mentioned my times but still in starter, and the main course had the items. They were cored but still.

Food not great. It looked okay but not very fresh, warm nor tasty. For Cap Verdian standards pricy but the quality was not with it. Prawns were tiny. Two out of three people got their food and the third main course only arrived after the others were finished. View wonderful!

The location is obviously great, on the beach. Unfortunately there was a language barrier. Our waitress could not answer our most basic questions in English (fish of the day, what side dishes are included, what ice cream options are available). Maybe my expectations were just completely wrong?

The tuna tartar was good. The octopus was surprisingly excellent. For dessert I wanted one scoop of ice cream. Due to the language barrier I could not understand what the options were so I ordered chocolate. The portion included bonus stale bits of once-melted strawberry ice cream. When I got halfway into the chocolate ice cream it was frosted/re-frozen.

Our waitress did not ask us even once what we thought of the dishes. When we asked for the dessert menu, she forgot so we had to remind her. She did not return after this, so we went to the counter at the entrance to pay.

With better service this could be a nice place.

We have been two weeks in Capo Verde and the first few days, because of convenience, as we are staying at the Hilton hotel, we went for dinner twice at The Bounty.

Both fir the food and the ambience we gave 5 stars because you really felt at home. What we would like to highlight was the attention of the waiters. Very friendly, attentive and very professional.

100% recommended
