Long-time local eatery. Friendly fast service. I had the three egg omelette with mushrooms and bell peppers-they forgot the bell peppers. My buddy got the breakfast burrito, it was embarrassingly huge. I can’t believe he ate the whole damn thing, and didn’t ask to share with me.

The most amazing Chicken Cordon Bleu I’ve ever had, and if that may mean anything I’m French! Also a fair Price for the dish + 2 big sides (especially the fries one!), So I highly recommend!

Great place for a Bloody Mary. We didn’t order food during this visit but a nearby diner’s order of meatloaf was tempting. They also have pj brunch the last Sunday of each month with a Bloody Mary bar and 4 types of mimosas. Wearing pj attire gets you a discount.

Had the hotcakes breakfast with eggs and sausage patties. Sausage patties were almost cold, definitely not cooked fresh, and I do not think the pancakes were fresh either. Small, flat.
It took a very long time to get my ticket after I was done. As a matter of fact, I had to go up to the register to get it, and to pay.
Ate dinner there the night before, and the server was not helpful, nor did she listen to my order. I ordered T bone steak, medium rare, and it came out medium well. No spices, or Worcestershire sauce on it either. My server only offered to refill my soda once, but never returned with more. 🙁

Normally I enjoy eating here, but recently I’ve become more and more disappointed. We stopped in two weeks ago for chai lattes and brunch only to find out the espresso machine was down. We ordered coffee instead and enjoyed the chicken and waffles. They were so good we bragged on them when my parents asked for a brunch suggestion.
Today I returned with my parents hoping for better results. Still no espresso machine, and the chicken and waffles was horrible. Over cooked and over seasoned. The chicken was dry and hard to chew. The spices were so bad they ruined the waffles as well. Service was extremely slow and it just Not a pleasant experience. Not sure I’ll be back.

What food I had was good. Ordered the Colorado Meatloaf, wife ordered a beef cheeseburger. All was good, aside from mine. I had ordered mashed potatoes and sauteed Veggies for my sides. Veggies came out raw as the day they were picked, and potatoes were lumpy, and grainy, like they had been reheated from lunch. Ticket was deducted two dollars for the mess up. Our hostess, Suzanne, was very nice and attentive. I never had an empty glass. Not sure if it was a bad night for the cook, or if the poor Bounty has fallen on hard times. Used to love coming here as a kid with the family on vacations. Now not sure if I will be back.

Was there for lunch. We sat on the patio and were provided with an umbrella, which made the visit pleasant. I ordered lunch, which was decent, with large portions. Another guest ordered breakfast that was huge and she said, delicious! Children’s menu was good, as well. We had grear Bloody Mary’s. It was an enjoyable experience. Staff was nice but not the fastest. Rather pricey but not outrageous. For a bit to eat in Salida, I’d recommend it.

We went for dinner, they were out of what I wanted(were there about 6), waitress recommended the Alfredo which I got. The garlic bread had no taste of garlic and the crust was hard as a rock. Not to mention my food barely warm and they forgot to bring my side. My husbands sandwich bread was also hard. And barely had any thing on it! All for the grand total of $37 plus. Not recommending this place to expensive for what you get!

Great food for the price. Was busy, but not terrible. Other people got antsy but this is a small restaurant for a small city. The night before New Year’s Eve is when I went, which was a Friday. Plus, people are on vacation around this time of year. I think some people forget about these details when they expect perfect service. I would recommend this place to anyone passing through. Plus, they have a gift shop that is quaint and lovely.

Great menu options and a super clean restaurant. We went for breakfast but it looks like their bar area is a popular night spot that serves some great local brews. Staff was very nice and geniunely seemed to enjoy working there. We had burgers and fries, all really fresh and delicious. Their gift shop has some truly amazing art from local artists, as well as some interesting chatchkies (see the sleeping pets whose tummies move like they’re breathing). Would definitely eat here again when we visit!
