Ok this is based on a vegetarian’s view point. We went during lunch time. Even though it was packed, we managed to get a table. Got complimentary house chips which was delish. We had high hopes for the place. We ordered hummus platter for appetizer. It was overpriced at 13 for 4 celery pieces, 4 carrots, sooper runny hummus and one super small pita cut into 6 pieces. We planned to take a black bean and quinoa burger, but they had already run out. We ordered half tomato burrata and half greek salad. Both were around 8 for half and even though Greek salad was good quantity, tomato burrata was just 2 grilled scallions, half of yellow heirloom tomato and 4 halves of grape tomato with balsamic reduction. Both clearly lacked any kind of seasoning. My daughter took a cucumber avocado roll which was the most decent out of all the paid food. Over all the experience was an expensive and less satisfying affair. I don’t know if it is because of busy time or new chefs. It didn’t quiet make a good impression.

HUGE shoutout to Aly for making our baby girl feel so special and celebrated. We initially visited to celebrate our daughter’s 10 birthday, but now this is our new favorite place! We were blown away by the amazing food and incredible customer service. Aly was a blast. We loved her bubbly spirit and she answered all our questions. She also made some great suggestions since it was our first time. The Borough burger, sesame soy wings, noir martini, and roasted old fashioned….everything was . THANK YOU AGAIN ALY!!!

Was waiting for this place to open for a while and I wasnt disappointed!

Free spiced chips were nice. Live music was real nice, loud atmosphere but so are many places.

The crust on the pizza is perfect, pizza overall is very good.

the Bavarian pretzel is better than the one down the street at victory. Im curious what the white beer cheese served with it is made of? its really interesting.

The Donut Fried Chicken Sandwich might look at bit sloppy but the taste was incredible. The Asian chicken in there is phenomenal though next time I may opt for the brioche bun just so my hands aren’t so sticky! This one might want to come with wet wipes!

Overall, had a great time, I’ll have to be back this weekend to checkout a game here! So happy to have another great place here in Dtown!

We are very excited about the Borough opening. The sushi was 10/10 and honestly the best I’ve had around Downingtown. I got the Borough Roll. The pork belly burnt ends had fantastic flavor. The blue cheese that came with the pretzel was not our favorite, but the pretzel was just fine and hit the spot.
The sweet potato bowl was good but missing the maple glaze and tahini listed on the menu- that would have added a lot of flavor that it was lacking.

Overall, we had a fantastic time and for it being their second day officially open, service was fast and smooth. The interior is open, airy, and modern.

The large round booths will be great for hosting friends in town for dinner.

Tons of TV’s across the entire space will make this a great game-day spot.

Worth the visit to Borough! We had lunch here on a Sunday arriving about noon and this place was busy! Service was definitely a bit slow to start but that is expected when a restaurant is buzzing like this was! Nice eclectic menus with some creative choices. Good draft selection and the cocktails were good. The home made chips served at the table are very good and a nice way to hold off those hunger pains when it is so busy.
Service was on point once our server had a chance to catch up. Food was all very good…Chickpea burger, Buffalo Chicken Steak Sandwich, Sweet Potato Bowl and Buffalo Chicken Bowl.
The place is very noisy and would benefit from some acoustic panels of some soft surfaces to absorb some sound. We will go back and try a more off prime time.

Knowing this is their first week, I’ll go easy on them. I’ll update my review the next time I go.

We went at 6:15 on a Friday. The wait for inside was 90 minutes but we decided to brave the first cold evening of October and sat outside. It would have been nice to have outdoor heaters, but hopefully they come in the future.

We had movie tickets so we ordered all our food and drinks the same time: waters for the table, two sodas, a draft beer, cucumber vegetable sushi roll, side of baked Mac and cheese, cheeseburger, and cheese steak. Our server brought us seasoned chips which were very tasty.

All of our food came out at different times. First the sushi, then the cheese steak and Mac and cheese. About five minutes later, our server stopped by the table and I had to ask for the burger. A food runner brought it to me a few minutes later.

My youngest daughter absolutely loved her sushi. My teenage daughter enjoyed the baked mac and cheese, but it looked like it could use a little more cheese. The cheese steak was a large portion and served on a seeded roll. The meat was tasty but a little overcooked. The burger was served on a brioche bun that was bigger than the meat patty, and was served almost well done even though I ordered it medium. The bun was too dry for my liking. I always try new burgers without toppings other than cheese, and this burger, which had a nice char from the grill, did not have enough flavor to carry the burger on it’s own. I added ketchup, which was served on the plate.

The true star of the evening was the French fries. We had both the regular fries and the Parmesan truffle. Both were served hot and crispy, and had a delightful crunch while still being tender inside.

We used the women’s bathroom which was clean and provided upscale hand soap and lotion. My daughter loved the smell of those! I appreciate their efforts to include upscale plush toilet paper, but the dispenser was covered with paper lint and particles flew in the air when unrolling, which made my daughter cough.

All in all, it’s not a bad start. Next time we go we’ll try the wings and some cocktails. Hopefully they find their rhythm and improve their meats.

A nice place to catch the game with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Good tap and drink menu.

The sushi was amazing, with a diverse menu.

The gem though is the live music venue. We were there on Saturday and the band was rocking. Great sound system.

Heard about The Borough opening and gave it a try on a Saturday night. Great crowd but had no problem finding a spot at the bar. Bartenders were great with recommendations for food choices and always around when we needed another drink. We had the Borough Roll, Stem Roll and a pizza. All were excellent. We even brought our daughters back after their college soccer game for a post game dinner. We had a great conversation with the owners, Jt and Keith, about the space and the direction they are taking the place. We highly recommend and will definitely be back soon.

Glad we decided to stay at The Borough in Downingtown for the game, as the initial experience at the host station felt disorganized and less welcoming than expected. However, things quickly turned around once Christina started service at our table..

Christina was warm, attentive, and instantly made the visit feel more positive. Her upbeat attitude completely changed the tone of the evening. The food was good and flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared, and Christina’s outstanding service made the entire experience memorable.

The Borough is clearly becoming a great addition to Downingtown

A fringe benefit of a food photographer is we sample much of what we photograph. Excellent food. I had the wings, the borough burger, the chicken cheesesteak, and the pepperoni pizza. Highly recommend. Great atmosphere there too.
