This a cozy yet large pub with a great laid back atmosphere. I love the wooden chairs and tables! Fr.Brennan is a very interesting and welcoming owner and bartender. I’ll definitely be back!

Firstly I’d like to start by saying that this place truly is a hidden gem.

The owner “mentioned in several reviews” is not rude he has a very dry sense of humour and is one of the nicest people you could ever meet and is the kindest, most caring friendly and respectful people I have had the pleasure of meeting who is clearly mis understood and who is there owning and running this bar because he wants to be and not because he has to be which is a very rare find in today’s world.

This place has the most amazing decor you will ever find in a bar with years of effort put into it.

The drinks are not at all over priced and are really a good deal, and he has any and all of the drinks you could imagine.

I had the pleasure to sit with the owner for a short while and found him very witty, funny and a see a very nice side to the man on more than several occasions and I can’t wait to go back and have a drink there and I hope I get the pleasure of his company again.

Great spot, great service, great staff and even better drinks at a fair price, don’t listen to the bad reviews left by people with no sense of humour who don’t know how to take the owner.

Great place go get a drink at a real old local spot.

terrible service! upon arrival, the place looked so great and amazing and we figured we’d have a good time, i was so wrong. the bartender ignored us the entire time, and was so rude when we asked a simple question. many people came up to the bar for a refill, and he ignored my dad entirely and then left without even having second thought to help him. he needs an attitude check, i’ll be praying for him.

Hospitality was completely lacking. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend this pub to visitors or families.

This was one of the most unwelcoming experiences I’ve had in ANY place of business . Shame on this small man! I was publicly questioned and spoken down to for using the restroom while looking for my family, then treated with open hostility when attempting to order a drink. Comments were made loudly enough to embarrass me in front of others, and I was ultimately told to leave.
If this is how guests are treated, I can’t understand the positive reviews. I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone passing through the area.

I see a lot of people leaving 1 star reviews and saying that the owner “does not welcome outsiders” or “only caters to locals” and that’s just not true. It just makes me wonder how rude you guys were to the owner. We are not local by any means, but we came in and we were welcomed like we were family. We will definitely be back next time we are in town. We love Father Brennan!

Seriously, like being in Ireland! The staff is amazing. Love Brenden, who they call Father because he was a priest. The fish and chips were excellent.

Cool Irish pub with a unique style and relaxed atmosphere. The whisky and beer selection is great and there is outdoor seating to bring dogs and even smoke a cigar. Also, try the Irish Grilled Cheese. Its awesome.

What a surprise. It’s been a few years since we’ve been to Blue Ridge and this is a wonderful addition. The various rooms with a different feel and the hospitality of the staff all make for a wonderful experience. I wish we had an Irish pub like this back home. Strongly recommend paying a visit and having in a pint.
